I think this game really takes full advantage of the Nintendo DS platform. It's a lot of fun and the learning curve is just right in that it takes practice but you do get better with each race. There are three tracks to master within each location and several different race variations so there's enough here to keep you interested. I've played this game nearly every day since I got it and enjoy it thoroughly each time.
My son just turned 6 and he absolutely loved this game. It was very easy to start playing and he enjoys being able to pick the motorcycle he wants to ride. In the game he can also add parts (upgrades) to his motorcycle if he does well in the races. Pretty cool!
I was pleased with this game, overall. The controls are quite simple, just basically gas, brake, and steer with a skid option thrown in. The controls are clean and don't feel sluggish or sloppy. Very easy to just pick up and enjoy. The championship mode is nice and thorough without being ridiculously complicated. It's a little on the easy side, but it's still very enjoyable. Good solid, harmless fun for all.
This game is so fun. I'm not a big racing gamer but these controls were easy enough for me to pick up. I ride and know motorcycles and Ducatis, and had a lot of fun sliding the Hypermotard and 1098's. Even better, once you get into the higher levels and begin using jumps or upgrading equipment, the pace picks up and it becomes challenging. Ducati Moto was not highly technical but a great game and suited me fine - especially for this price.
I'm not a big racing game fan (except for Mario Kart DS), but thought I'd give this one a shot(especially for only $[...]). I couldn't believe how sensitive the left/right turning controls were for the bike! I finally figured out that you really had to use the control pad one tap at a time to gradually adjust direction. Even then, it was all too easy to over steer in one direction, and then completely over adjust in the opposite direction. No way I was going to actually WIN a race to advance through any storyline. Maybe I just wasn't meant to ride a motorcycle...
