Reality really hits home when the prejudice comes from his own father, King Kenneth, and Brie over hears that. She knows better than Kellen wants to accept that she is a liability to the royal family and tries to do what's best and break it off.
This was an enjoyably heart breaking book to read. It accurately depicts the challenges an interracial couple must sometimes face, whether they are royalty or ordinary people.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I’m hoping the next one is a bit more cheerful. The fact that racism is still a major force in this world is just plain sad!
Cab wait for the next book, because nobody tell Kellan how to live his life, and not even Brie can keep Kellan away from Brie.
Next book,here I come!!!

I was given this book in turn for an honest review.
Brie is nearing the end of her college graduation at long last. With the uncertainty of her future; she discovers a much bigger change than she ever saw coming. Kellan a Duke; a Prince, is happy to live his playboy life until he sets his eyes upon Brie. Will they discover their path to happiness or will their two worlds collide and leave devastation in its wake…?
Xavier Neal has left my heart broken and myself in complete tears. I devoured this book in less than twenty-four hours. I had fallen in love with the characters and their story so much I was completely invested. She built my heart up, piece by piece, giving Brie and Kellan the happiness and beautiful story they both deserved. Showing the world that two people from completely different backgrounds and up bringing’s can fall in love with the blink of an eye; to then leave devastation in its wake. Xavier Neal has talent and with each story she writes it shines through, more and more.
Brie is smart, witty, fun, outgoing and loyal to her friends. She works hard to get what she wants and to where she wants to be.
Kellan is a smart-arse, with great intentions. He not only has a heart full of love and care buried deep down that is crying to break free, he also has goals to help the less fortunate and not for the fame and spotlight it could give him.
Brie and Kellan’s story doesn’t have the typical push and pull that many others do and it’s a refreshing change to read a couple who are heading the right direction, without the drama and for all the right reasons. With this said, yes Duched does end on a cliff hanger but not your typical cliff hanger and one that shows the true love and beauty these two share.
If you love romances with plenty of humour and fun; you will absolutely love Duched by Xavier Neal.
Ok so I loved Kellan's character, he was funny and sexy and very likeable. Brie is absolutely brilliant and one of my favourite Xavier Neal characters.
Honestly could yell because of the cliffhanger but as previously stated I do adore Xavier so can't be too mad - just cannot wait for the next book!!
Biggest luvs and adoration for this ladies work - plz don't ever stop.
