My family and I caught the premiere episode the day it forst aired, and we have watched every episode since. We love this show, and this DVD release is a good purchase for anyone who does not have access to the digital version.
What you need to know: This DVD includes the 44 minute premiere episode of the show and six shorts. This is not a box set, and the rest of the season will most likely be available later this year.
How is it? The DVD is great. If you want a copy of the premiere for your car DVD player or to take to the kids’ grandparents house, $9.99 isn’t a bad price. The menus are simple and the music is lively. The sound quality is good, and honestly I can’t see much of a difference between the picture resolution of this DVD and my HD digital episodes.
As for the content of the show: This story is a load of fun. Donald Duck is raising the nephews and needs Scrooge’s help taking care of them one day. This leads to an adventure in Atlantis... yeah, it’s that crazy. The animation is crisp, the humor is great, and I absolutely love this episode.
When I first received my copy to review, my girls were begging to watch the episode before I could finish looking around the menus. Believe me, your kids will love this show just as much (or more) than you will.
. I remember the original series, it was great. This is like all the other cartoons that have been coming out... flat, boring, and lazy. Animators use to care andd it showed in their work. THREE YEAR OLD COULDVE MADE THIS BETTER, STICK WITH THE ORIGINAL!!!
