Dude, Get Over Yourself: How to Get Out of Your Own Way & Get Laid MORE Paperback – May 23, 2013
From the Author
WRITING IS MY PASSION. MY GOAL WHEN I WRITE IS TO CONNECT WITH MY READERS BY KEEPING IT RAW, CONVERSATIONAL AND PRACTICAL. I SERVE UP SEXUAL AND SUCCESS ORIENTED REALITY CHECKS. WE ALL WANT TO BE BETTER VERSIONS OF OURSELVES, WE JUST NEED THE RIGHT PERSON TO SHOW US WHO SPEAKS TO OUR SOUL!-
From the Inside Flap
I know after sex, especially some really great hot sex on a platter, you are utterly exhausted, you're hot. You don't want to cuddle and you dread spooning because when she falls asleep her big ol' water head makes your arm go to sleep. You want to go straight to sleep, get something to drink or eat or even take a shower. I'm not tripping. I get it!
I get it so much; I'll explain exactly what happens and why you are totally drained after ejaculation. There are 4 stages to your sexual response cycle.
When you reach the resolution stage, you are totally through dealing and you go through what is called a refractory period which is when your penis calls a time out because you have to regroup. The head is soft to the touch, you feel tingly and you just want to tap out! Women on the other hand, while we may be drained we don't have a refractory period; we are ready and willing to give it a go again. So do we want to go to sleep? Nah, not really. I mean we'll go if you insist.
So it brings us to the critical question: How the hell are you supposed to muster up any energy to have any afterplay if your body and brain has gone to la la land?

What I like about this book the most is that the problems aren't just pointed out - the solutions are too. I can definitely say I've found myself guilty of a few of the things outlined in here, but Paige points us in a better direction, allowing you to unlearn and relearn in order to take control of your sex life.
I definitely recommend this book - to EVERYBODY, men and women alike.
