A must-have for your big soap
I had ordered a pack of Duke Cannon soap and decided to pick this up while I was at it as well. First, this is specifically designed for a DC-sized brick of soap which is 10oz (although I guess you can double up on other soap if you really wanted to. It's very easy to get this scrubber wet and apply it. It's got a cord holder if you want to wrap that around your wrist or hang it up in your shower to save a little space. There's a coarse underside as well for your feet and hands.For reference, I work at a warehouse and there are some days where I'm covered in sweat and grime and there's nothing I look forward to more than a shower. The coarse side feels so good on the feet, it's almost worth it just for that. It's machine-washable too, and it's overall pretty well-made. If you've been using Duke Cannon soap, I highly recommend.

I took a chance on the scrubber, and I’ve been really pleased with it. I started with a half-used brick of Bay Rum, and was impressed at how quickly the soap worked into a lather. The orange side was great for regular wash, and the green side has been great for tough places that are either calloused or on their way (knuckles, elbows, etc.). I also used the green side once after I’d been painting; it really helped make sure all the little specks were gone and that I didn’t look like a Jackson Pollock canvas.

Once the Bay Rum had run its course, I switched to a new, full-size brick of Gunsmoke (good stuff!). I agree with other users that it was slightly finicky to get the full brick in the scrubber. I imagine that is by design, and I didn’t have a problem with it. I have noticed that, compared to a “more used” brick, it is a little more work to get a good lather with a new bar. That said, if you use the water flow and work the scrubber with your fingers, it will do the job. More and more uses will eventually start eroding the bar, and you ‘ll be able to get more friction and thus more lather.

I think it’s a great value, especially since there’s nothing keeping you from using other soaps in the same scrubber. Great gift idea for the dudes in your life as well.

I will say their advertising around the prison showers is problematic if not borderline homophobic. So I really don't like that and wouldn't buy it as a gift because of it.

But if you only care about the quality of the product and not the advertising / packaging - this is excellent. I've used the exfoliating soap pouches before and they wear through the bar soap very vast. This one does not, it lathers well, it doesn't scrape up your skin, and just works great for what it's intended to do. Gives you a much cleaner feel for a lot less waste then body wash + loofah so that's also great.

I haven't owned it long but it does seem to be holding up well though - so I suspect it'll last awhile if not indefinitely and claims to be machine washable if/when it becomes grungy. So can't attest to that but all good signs so far.

So, again, they should rework their marketing / packaging. But the product itself is great.

I first discovered this wonderful line, and especially this fragrance while shopping at a boutique. It’s manly, but not so that I wear the solid cologne balm as my personal perfume. It’s earthy and makes me think of all I love. The thick bar of soap will last a long time, and the scrub pocket is perfect, not too rough, but enough to get dirt and exfoliate.

First love the soap, smells and feels great! Does not dry my skin while cleaning great! The bar is yuuuuggggeeee too. I cut it into about double the thickness of a hotel bar soap to help it last longer by it not getting splashed, also helps manage the shower experience. I don’t have huge hands, but they’re not small either. Was a bit much to hold onto while slippery. It lasts a very long time! The soap is a great price since it lasts so long. Soap 5 stars!!!

Now the scrubby… did not enjoy it much even though I was super excited about it. It does not allow the soap to lather well and you spend a lot of time working it to get some suds going. It’s also a bit harsh on my skin. I’m not a very hairy person either, so don’t know how it does there. Scrubby 2 Stars.

I had purchased one from the Duke Cannon website but wanted to get another one. When I saw Amazon carried Duke Cannon items I had to get another one. This comes handy in the field for outdoor types and military. You can't use body wash in the outdoors. That's where a big block of soap comes in. Be advised this is made for men. I would wager women will complain it's too rough on their skin.

It was very obviously (I assume) a previously returned one. I'm not impressed, especially since I purchased this as Father's day gift and there isn't enough time to return it.
