'It's the charming characters, including an overweight dog, who set this lovely tale apart for other "country miss to London duchess" romances. Temple has a delightful gift with words that is sure to have readers smiling as the story of blossoming love and Gothic mystery unfolds.'
- Romance Times Book Review
'This is a classy, well put together and superblyentertaining book about how people who are so different can find love in themost unexpected places. Sophie and Max are a joy to get to know, I also lovethe third main character in the tale; Marmaduke, the fat, temperamental andspoilt pug who is such a fabulous addition to the story, it is one of thosehomely and everyday details that everyone can relate to. I do like Lara's work, she writes solid and strong Historical Romance which can be enjoyed across thegenerations.'

About the Author
Lara Temple's life has been about changes - she has lived on three continents and gone from the military to Wall Street to wife, mom, and philosophy student. But with one constant - ever since she can remember she has been writing stories. In 2014 she took the plunge and sent a manuscript to Harlequin's SYTYCW contest and was shocked, delighted, and shocked again to make it to the top ten and then actually have it become her first published book - 'Lord Crayle's Secret World.' Since then she has had two more novels published: 'The Reluctant Viscount' and 'The Duke's Unexpected Bride.' Her fourth, 'Lord Hunter's Cinderella Heiress' will be published in November 2017, and will be the first in her Wild Lords series.
