When I finally got it to fit I realized it doesn't actually... DO... anything. It's just a bucket with a piece of dryer exhaust tubing. That's it. You could get the EXACT same performance you'd get out of this thing by just hooking an appropriately-sized piece of dryer ducting or conduit or whatever to your dryer, and placing the other end into a bucket with some WATER standing in it.
I was under the impression that the hot, moist air from the dryer's exhaust would hit the cold water inside this little contraption and that somehow it would do something to make it any different from just having the dryer exhaust hanging in space, (or the space of air above the water in the bottom of the bucket as a lint-catch. Well, this product is just a plastic tub with a lid, a wall-mountable holding ring for the bottom, a couple zip-ties to fasten the ends of the flexible exhaust tubing, and of course, a length of flexible exhaust tubing itself.
The instructions, such as they are, are written on the outside of the box. There's no flap inside the thing, there's no filter, there's nothing at all but a tub of water, which as I've said, you could just as easily suspend the end of the dryer exhaust above a regular bucket with a little water in it. That'll do the exact same thing this does. The purpose of the water appears to be catching any lint that makes it past the dryer's filter, (otherwise even THAT would be pointless,) but why would anyone need to spend extra for the pointless little plastic TUB? Also, in order to secure the two halves of the tub together, there are provided, moulded into the top, little clips, and they're a pain in the butt either to open once securely attached to the other side, or to secure in the first place. Like I said, just hang the end of the exhaust over a bucket with some water in it.
I'm returning this thing. It was a pointless purchase, and it should probably be pulled off the market, along with anything else so designed and built, and advertised as 'allowing' or 'facilitating' indoor use of a dryer designed to have a vent to the outside, without a vent to the outside. UGH! Back it goes.
