Dungeon Royale will take you on a dangerous mission filled with action, intrigue, espionage, and bondage. Master Damon is the most fierce and hardcore Dom in this series thus far.

Damon has scars inside and out. His life has always been about MI-6. It’s who he is and what he knows other than being the owner of The Garden, Britain’s most lush and luxurious BDSM club. Damon craves control in all things in his life. He has never had a relationship with a woman before. He once had a sub that he slept with regularly but she was just a sub and a sweet girl nothing more. Never in a million years would anyone believe that a little sprite like Penelope Cash could bring Damon to his knees.

Penelope Cash is a people pleaser. She lets her family walk all over her. Her family enjoys making her feel small and timid and all she has ever done is try to show them love. Damon Knight on the other hand ignites a passion inside of her that she has never felt before and that spark brings out her feisty side. Damon does his best to convince Penelope to go undercover with him as his sub to catch a terrorist group.

“Did you ever stop to wonder if perhaps I’m simply not interested in even pretending to sleep with you?”

“No not once.”

“Maybe I don’t like men Mr. Knight.”

The flirtatious banter is delightfully delicious and addicting. I absolutely adore Penelope’s tenacity towards Damon and his fumbling for words because he never expected such sass from her. Lexi will have you laughing one moment and all hot and bothered the next. If you have read any of the Master’s Mercenaries Series you know that Lexi has a talent for writing smokin hot sex scenes that will melt your panties off. She delivers that and much more in Dungeon Royale.

"He'd damn near rubbed his c0ck all over Penelope Cash and then wondered why on earth she didn't want to work with him."

It's little gems like that which make Lexi Blake's writing so darn readable! I was a little bit worried that I wouldn't be able to get into this book because really, we don't know Damon that well. I was hoping for Simon or Jesse to be perfectly honest, but after reading this book I got that they weren't quite ready to be main characters yet and that Damon sooooo was. Oh my goodness *fans self* talk about hunky!

No need to worry about getting into the book, we jump right in where the epilogue of the last book left off, with Damon getting shot. Now he's trying to get his career back together, but MI6 is dragging their feet because they aren't sure he's fit for duty. Honestly, I'm not sure that a spy agency like that would REALLY be okay with him going on a mission with another agency for back-up, but who am I to complain when it means getting to see Ian, Charlotte and the gang? Besides, I'm sure that agencies occasionally have to hire on, especially when they have to send undercover agents into such specialized territory like a BDSM cruise.

But in order to get on the cruise successfully undercover, he needs a submissive. Helloooo Penelope Cash! He saw her face when she was dying, remembering how kind and sweet she'd always been to him, wishing that he'd at least told her how pretty he thought she was, and now he's finally going to get to experience that for himself. And omgoodness the chemistry between these two is off the charts!!! She needs someone to help open her up, esp after the tragedies she's been through in her life, someone to take care of her when she's always been the caregiver, someone to cherish her.

I love this series, Lexi Blake has done it again for me with this one. Not only did she bring on this new couple Damon and Penelope she also brought back some of my favorites in the series. Jake, Simon, Chelsea and Charlotte and my guy Ian. I love his wit his sarcasm and the fact that no matter what he says he loves all the drama. He can't live without and I think sometimes finds ways to create it. Damon and Penelope's story was sweet and hot. The book kept my interest from chapter one to the epilogue and I was so sorry it ended. The action was gripping, the sex scenes were hot and the love that develops was well written.
Now I just have to wait for the next one in the series, sigh I hope I make it. lol

Every time I read a new Lexi Blake book, I fall in love with the male lead. Every single time.

Hotness, hilarity, intrigue. Catching up a bit with my book boyfriends of the past.

Lexi Blake doesn't know how to fail. Phenomenal read that, like the rest of the series, I will enjoy time and again.

Lexi Blake continues to wow and amaze me with each installment of her Masters and Mercenaries series. This time it was Damon Knight’s turn in Dungeon Royale and I just knew that I was in for a good time.

I wasn’t wrong. Once I started, I could not put Dungeon Royale down. Thank goodness for modern technology which allowed me to segue seamlessly from my e-reader, to my phone, to the cloud on my computer. If my boss knew what I was really doing at my desk . . . Dungeon Royale had everything I’ve come to expect from Ms. Blake – sizzling passion, sweet romance, action-packed suspense, and laugh out loud moments.

The story begins with a retelling of the moment that Damon is betrayed by his partner. Damon is shot and left for dead. As he lay on the floor dying, Damon regrets never making a move on Penelope. Fast forward seven months later and Damon and Penelope must work together to capture a suspected bioterrorist with ties to the man who shot Damon. The two must pose as a D/s couple as part of the mission and Damon is finally able to have Penelope right where he wants her.

I think I first fell in love with Damon when he came to Penelope’s rescue at her cousin’s wedding. The way that he defended her and then gave her a powerful orgasm, endeared him to me forever. Yet Damon is not perfect. After a lifetime of feeling abandoned and unworthy of love, he doesn’t trust in his relationship with Penelope. He doesn’t know how to communicate how he is feeling, and as a result, he hurts Penelope with his words. I found myself yelling at my e-reader more than once.

Penelope is a heroine we can all relate to. She is smart, sweet and loving, but suffers from insecurities. She has put her whole life on hold while she cared for her dying mother.
