I've had this product on my Corvette for over three years. It still looks like the day I applied it. Absolutely no fade or discoloration whatsoever. It's important to note that the paint does set up (read 'dries) quickly and will require multiple coats. However, a little preplanning and a thorough reading of the instructions will result in a quality finish. I would suggest that the brush supplied as part of the kit is very coarse and difficult to use in tight areas. I substituted a smooth artist's brush which worked very well and gave smooth results.

I painted my calipers and rotors last August and wanted to give it the winter to see how it held up before I wrote the review. I'm completely happy with this product. First thing...prep, Prep, PREP! Any paint work is only going to be as good as your prep. Like building a house, if the foundation isn't solid, the rest doesn't matter! Now, I did this on a brand new truck, but I still degreased with brake cleaner, wire brushed, sanded, degreased, and wiped clean. If you have older calipers that have rust on them, you need to get it off if you expect this to last. Painting over a poorly prepped caliper that still has rust, dirt, grease, and/or grime isn't going to last, and it's not the products fault. The only thing I would do differently is when I do my wife's vehicle I will remove the calipers from the rotor and remove the brake pads. I don't intend to do all of that masking work again. If you do it properly, it is VERY time consuming. Put the entire vehicle on jack stands, do all your prep, and paint all 4 at the same time. By the time you get the 4th finished, it will be time to do the next coat on the 1st, and so on. Read and follow the directions on application regarding humidity and application and curing times and it will look great!

I also painted the visible surface of my rotors Dupli-Color Black Satin because to me, a rusty rotor takes away from a nice looking caliper. I only painted what would be visible on the rotor. DO NOT paint the rotor (hub) face where the wheel contacts the rotor, unless you want wheel balance issues when you put the wheels back on. Even the *slightest* amount of paint between the wheel and rotor hub face will cause vibration.

I was a bit worried when looking at the pics on the box, but after reading other reviews, I thought I'd take a chance. The finish on the calipers looks MUCH better than the pics. Do your prep work! The brush that comes with the package is garbage. I've seen better brushes for applying flux to soldering pipes. My first caliper I attempted to use it, not having another handy. I spent as much time picking bristles that fell out off the caliper as applying paint. I'd suggest finding another brush as others have suggested as well. Also apply several thin coats and let them dry to get the best results. Also, the take wasn't great nor too much of it so I used the cardboard from the box to block off the rotor itself and the tape to hold it in place and cover things like the bleed valve.

The brake cleaner works pretty well, but no more so than others. It is a nice touch that they include it in the box. The stir stick is a nice touch too.

One fault, no instructions on clean up. The paint dries quickly. So unless you have all 4 wheels off, it would be hard to use a single brush with no clean up instructions as the brush would be destroyed by dry paint before you got to the 2nd wheel.

This kit was exactly what I needed - plenty of cleaner and paint to easily do four brake calipers. There was enough paint to do at least three coats on at least two sets of (4) brakes.

I didn't give it 5 because paint is easy to chip even after curing. I've used G2 caliper paint before and honestly, this stuff won't even come close to matching durability of G2.

Only problem with G2 is you cannot save paint (turns rock solid in several hours), so it has to be thrown away. However, Dupli-color caliper kit can be stored away and used later on.

I have used a couple of other brands in painting calipers. The examples from Dupli-Color
looked a bit cheap so I had avoided their paint. I was very wrong. The red was brilliant,
and would look great even on a Ferrari or Lambo... They give you plenty of paint for 2 coats of
very large calipers. The paint goes on easily and predictably. My only complaint is the cheap
brush they provide, you should buy your own. Take your time, do two coats and you will have people
screeching to a Stop to check out your calipers.

This paint worked great and I really love the finish. It appears professionally coated rather than painted. My calibers were rusted a bit so I brushed them then used the included caliber cleaner. I then used a rust converter, waited about an hour, then painted using this Dupli-Color paint. The paint goes on smooth. I waited 20 minutes and painted on a second coat. It's the second coat that really shows how great this product is. Then you have to wait for 2 hours before putting the tires back on and 24 hours for the paint to cure before driving.

Now a few thoughts: I had to use a few brushes not included in this kit, a 1 inch brush and a slightly smaller brush; the brush they give you in the kit is useless, throw it away. They give you a paint stir-stick...you don't need it, just shake up the can for a minute or so. Wear gloves and put a plastic sheet under each wheel, this is a serious paint and it will stay where it spills. Go slow and use a good light, you want to paint all the nooks and crannies. Don't paint any rubber pieces and don't paint your rotors, just the calibers. Preparation is super important, get all that rust off or use a rust converter. The can of paint is small but it's enough to paint probably 12-16 calibers, FAR more than just the 4 I did. A little goes a long way and it just about flows on.

I can't tell you how great these calibers look. They look professionally coated. That ceramic paint is excellent. Hard as nails, bright red, shiny. Worth every penny. Buy this product, you will NOT regret it.
