The single good point is that the paint color match is pretty good--not exact, but acceptable.
I've been a professional painter for all my adult life, so I'm pretty experienced in applying this stuff. I bought two cans for what was supposed to be a quickie job on a Tacoma grille. When the advertising materials say this is for spot repairs, they truly mean a * little * spot. There's not enough paint in the can to do more than about a square foot with four coats.
But that's not the real problem. The crappy nozzle they put on these cans causes the properly shaken and warmed paint to spurt huge droplets right from the very first push on the trigger. This is not an "blocked nozzle" problem resulting from failure to clear it after each session--which, by the way, is absolutely required on these horrible cans. When the can shoots big droplets from the very start it's the can's problem, not operator error.
If you need this stuff for a VERY small job that you can quickly sand out between coats it might work OK. Oh, and buy double what you think you'll need because that's what it's likely to take.
I wish there were an alternative solution for these small jobs.
Just need to use a super fine sand paper n a cloth water...
Scrub it smoothly use water while Scrub and then let dry throughout with cloth and wait it to dry complete.....
Then paint spray 😊 ....let it dry for few hours use a 3 coat for longer duration....soo original i like it...
I cant tel where the scratch was...
edit: I'm a novice and my rating is based on how it worked for me, which is badly. The color did not match at all. Am not sure if the car paint would be called beige. I've no sense for color but I would call it light pink pearl? The paint from can is like leather boot color. I don't know how a big company like this gets it this wrong.
Some people say the factory paint is faded.
Bought Rustoleum cashmere beige. It is lighter than what's on the car now. But lighter is better than darker beige.
Had to replace the handle, and the one they sent me was silver compared to this, so I had to wet sand it down...primed it, then painted, and clear coated it. Guess what.
Perfect match. Extremely happy!
If you expect to get shop-quality results from a $10 can of paint, you're crazy, why do you think shops have expensive paint guns with professionals who have been painting cars for years? I also ended up doing this in the elements because I don't have a shop to work on my car (or even parkable storage/garage).
