NEVER BE POWERLESS WITH THE 24-HOUR POWER SYSTEM. The 24-Hour Power System is everything you need to charge (or power) at home or on the go in the palm of your hand.
The Powermat for 2 devices offers a home base to wirelessly charge two Duracell Powermat-enabled devices-your iPhone 4/4S (using the included Wireless Case) as well as our Portable Backup Battery. The Portable Backup Battery provides on-the-go power to double the battery life of any iPhone, iPod, and most micro-USB-enabled smartphone devices.
To use, simply set the Portable Backup Battery and/or enabled device on the Powermat to start charging. The bleep lets you know that your device is connected and charging. When it’s fully charged, take the Portable Backup Battery to power up on the go. Phone sold separately. Also available in white.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I need a Duracell Powermat Wireless Case to wirelessly charge my device?
A. Yes, your device needs to communicate with the Powermat so that energy can be transferred wirelessly. You will also be able to take advantage of the Duracell Powermat Wireless Charging Hot Spots at places like Madison Square Garden, where you can simply power up your phone while attending an event. In the future, we expect to see the technology built directly into devices. We are on a similar trajectory to Wi-Fi, which was once an accessory but is now built in and widely available.
Q. What is the technology and how does it work?
A. It is a combination of magnetic induction and proprietary Duracell Powermat technology. When an enabled device (a device with a Duracell Powermat Wireless Case or a Power On The Go Backup Battery) is placed on a Powermat, a “handshake” happens between the charging surface and the device and then energy is transferred wirelessly to the device. It is an intelligent system—it will send power only to devices it has identified and it monitors the power level so that when a device is fully charged, it will stop sending power, which not only avoids energy waste but also overcharging the battery.
Q. I have heard that I need to fully drain my battery before charging, is this true?
A. Batteries have evolved over time and the “memory effect” is not an issue with the lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries that are used in smartphones. You do not need to fully drain these batteries before charging.
Q. Which phone models is the Wireless Case available for?
A. We currently offer an iPhone 4/4S case, and a Samsung Galaxy S III case. But the Power On The Go Backup Battery includes both an Apple 30-pin connector and a Micro USB connector, and works for most smartphones. We are currently developing a Wireless Case for the iPhone 5.
Q. Is the wireless case a protective case?
A. Yes, the wireless case offers standard case protection.
Q. Can I take the Power On The Go Backup Battery with me wherever I go?
A. Yes. The Power On The Go Backup Battery is totally portable. Drop into your purse, briefcase, luggage, backpack, glove compartment—it’s up to you. When you need up to a full charge on the go, you’ll be ready.
Q. Can I use my smartphone while the Power On The Go Backup Battery is charging?
A. Yes, your smartphone will be fully functional while the Power On The Go battery is attached and charging.
Q. Where else can I charge?
A. We’re still rolling out partners, but you can find Wireless Charging Hot Spots and Powermat wireless charging mats installed in select Delta Sky Club locations, the 40/40 Club, and Madison Square Garden.
Q. What’s the best way to take advantage of the system?
A. We recommend that you buy a full 24-Hour Power System for your home and a one Device Powermat for your office.
Q. Will the new Duracell Powermat products work with my existing Powermat products?
A. Yes, they will be compatible.
Q. Does Duracell Powermat have a solution for the iPhone 5?
A. Yes, the iPhone 5 wireless case is currently in development and will be ready in 2013.

The cool thing about this system is obviously the wireless charging of the portable USB battery and the Iphone 4/4S via the slide on case. The case is also available separately in many different colors not just black/white. The automatic magnetic alignment of the battery and induction charging pad is very straightforward. When a device is finished charging it automatically shuts off the charging process but automatically tops off the devices when they're left on the charging pad. What this means is you could leave devices on the pad until you need them and they will always be fully charged and ready to go. Each pad has room for two devices and since I have two pads I could have 4 devices charged and ready at any given moment.
My wife won't use the base, as it requires putting the phone in the device's special charging case. Removing her phone's Otterbox every time would soon grow tiresome, so I wouldn't recommend this to owners of semi-permanent cases like the Otterbox. However, she has used the battery, and it worked quite well. The battery didn't have enough juice to fully recharge both iPhones, but as a portable option its power storage is sufficient.
Probably the only complaint: the phone HAS to be on a specific spot to charge, and it is very easy to accidentally nudge it off that spot (bump the table, cat strolls past it,,,). But overall, it is an excellent option for charging one's iPhone, especially compared to Apple's pricier choices that don't do nearly as well.
To charge the phone can be a little tricky at first, below some tips how to get it done:
1- First, on the mat for two devices, position the case on one side of the mat never in the middle of the biggest side of the rectangle. The middle is where the power cord to the mat connects. The mat is done for two devices so position leaving space for another device.
2- Second, place the P on the back of the Powermat phone case right in the middle of the smallest side of the rectangle, because there is where the connection is. This way the bottom of the phone will be sticking out of the mat a little.
3- Finally, if you set there and the phone is not charging. Pull the phone vertically very gently and very very little so you start to feel the magnetic force pulling the phone down from your hand. This usually does the trick and the phone starts to charge.
EDIT: If look closer to the pad there are two circles in the position mentioned before, just align the P circle on the back of the case with these and you will charge the phone.
There are two wireless charging standards - Powermat, and Qi. Most cellphones only support Qi, and won't work with this charger, but the S6 supports both standards. This charges it just fine, and I assume charges an iPhone 4 just fine if you use the included case that I threw away. It's really nice that this is a two-place charger - just like the picture shows, you can put the backup battery and your phone on the charger at the same time and have them both charge.
The backup battery is pretty slick - has both Apple 30-pin and micro-usb connectors that tuck in very nicely. The capacity (1850 mah) is smaller than my S6, but should be capable of giving it about a half-charge.
With a Spigen Air Cushion case, the phone will charge but placement of the phone on the charger becomes critical. With the case, it takes a few seconds to get everything lined up so that charging will occur. Without the case, you can pretty much toss the phone at the charger and have it charge.
All in all, this is a very well built setup, meant to sell for the $100 original cost, but is an absolute bargain for anyone who can use it at the clearance price.
