My only issue is I need a 12” fry pan and about a 5qt sauce pan. I cook for a large family at times. I don’t see any larger pans to buy. I’m thinking this is because they are designed, really, for Duxtop induction burners in mind and not for all other cooking stoves. I found I had to use both fry pans to cook for 8 people and use the stock pot when a large saucepan would have worked better.
3 months later: I’m still very pleased with this purchase. But let me forewarn, stainless steel users, do not overheat! I have been very mindful about how high of heat I use. I find that a much lower heat works fine. My son however, turned the heat to high to quickly heat the 10” fry pan. Hot enough that when he put butter in it, it bounced around and turned black immediately. It warped. It’s not the pan’s fault but the user’s. But the warp while evident, isn’t terrible. I will be replacing it though.
I can now impress all my friends by boiling water almost instantly, these pans plus induction heats faster than any cooktop I have used including gas. I have never had “nice” pans before, so these are definitely a step up from big box store specials. The only “better” options I could find reading reviews cost more for one pan than for this whole set. I chose this set over the other similar sets to get the big 8 quart stockpot, as some of the other sets come with the smaller stockpot. I went ahead and ordered an extra 6” replacement lid so that each pan would have its own lid and the 5.5 Quart Saucepan to round out the set nicely. I think this set and the add ons I listed is the best bang/buck set available for induction.
Moral of the story: Don’t get mad at your $XXXX induction cooktop because a $XX pan set is garbage.
