Whole-clad tri-ply is a 3-ply bonded cookware with an aluminum core sandwiched in between stainless steel layers. This aluminum core is cladded all the way up to the rim. Heat passes through the whole body of the pans and pots from bottom to top and up the side walls for maximum cooking performance.

Bought these to go w/ new induction (Invecta) cooktop to replace our 12 year old All-Clad MC2 cookware. The handles on these are far better than the AC handles, and the metal covers are nearly identical and interchangeable. The AC steamer insert fits perfect. The induction "buzz" is not noticeable compared to another pot we had (an old Ikea 360). Love the weight balance, finish, handles and evenness of heat cooking.

Heavy stainless pots.

I was in the market for new stainless pans to replace the micro coated ones that were showing scratches. They are a bit more difficult to clean, but way better for you in terms of health. I wish I had ordered ones with a rubber coated handle. The handle gets hot and require a pot holder to pick up.

I now have the full set. This is a great stainless set. Easy to clean, heavy, with nice fitting lids. I do not get any vibrations, food heats evenly, and so far easy to clean. If you are looking for a good set of pans for induction cooktop, but don't want to spend a fortune this is a great set!

The handles are nice and ergonomic for my arthritic hands. This set is beautiful and well worth the money!

After reading all the reviews, I was a bit leary of the pans. What scared me was the reports of everything sticking in the fry pans. But, I bought them because there aren't many pans for induction cooking and over all these were worth a try. When I received them I did a little research. I found that the fry pans should be treated like cast iron pans and seasoned. Put oil in them, heat them up until they smoke then let them cool down. Wipe out excess oil. Never wash with soap. When cooking, never use excessive heat, just enough to do the job. Eggs and omlets do great at 290 degrees. Never had any sticking. When cooking meats, you must leave them long enough to get rid of moisture before turning and starting meats at room temperature works best. I love all the pans in this set and would highly recommend them.

This is a beautiful set of high quality and strong cookware. Don't be intimidated if you've never cooked with stainless steel before, you'll get the hang of it eventually.

Like the headline reads, get a bottle of liquid Bar Keeper's Friend. It's a special cleaner that will do amazing things for stainless steel. Don't use anything metal on these, not metal cooking utensils nor steel wool cleaners. Don't even use a scouring pad on these or they will scratch.

I have several pots and pans from All Clad and I would say these perform just as well as the entry level All Clad. The finish inside and out is very good, I actually find the handles a little more comfortable. You would only notice a performance difference if you venture into the higher end All Clad sets that have multiple layered construction, and even then I would say you would only notice if you use induction cooktops. (See my other reviews about the importance of pan construction with induction cooktops)
Overall I would say these pans are more than enough for most kitchens, and I would argue that you would be hard pressed to find a fault, especially at this price point.
Highly recommend.
