Enjoyed the pace and authors perspectives. Enjoyed the story and the relationships but missed some of the thriller aspects I rely on in a mystery.
Definitely worth supporting a local author and checking out "The Dying Hour"
This author keeps you reading , reading, reading can't turn the pages fast enough,
The intrique is awesome.
Love the main character Charlie
Love to read more with Charlie actually also read the Innocent Hour by this author and equally incredible reads.
With all of the bad press the Veterans Administration has been receiving of late it’s nice to read about some good people helping those in need. However, since this is a murder mystery novel there are also some not so nice things going on.
Ms. Hughes does a nice job in the way the story is structured. Her approach is to let the reader know what is happening but not the characters—a proven wining mystery technique. The use of dialogue is excellent—smooth prose with just the right amount of tension. Also thought the handling of the old Vet and the little boy was done very well.
A good read.
