This story had me from the very beginning. Loved it. Again good story and great characters that are expanding their personalities. Again the "murderer" can be figured out but it was fun reading. Looking forward to the next book

I read the entire Jennifer Marsh Myteries series. I loved Jennifer and the rest of the cast of very interesting, funny characters. Her friends are hilarious and, at times, exasperating. I love Jennifer's relationship with Sam and how it evolves throughout the series. Ms Fitzwater has managed to inject a freshness to both the characters and the actual mysteries, something which I find lacking in a lot of books in this genre. Some authors, (i.e. J.E.) have come to the point where every book feels like we have already read that story before...cookiecutter writing. Find something that works and milk it for all it's worth. Not in the case of this author. I have read other stories by Ms Fitzwater and I have enjoyed them all. Keep up the good work.
...and I do recommend the "Dying to..." series to everyone who enjoys a good mystery with some laughs and some romance added to the mix.

I really enjoyed this latest in the Jennifer Marsh mystery series. It had a unique plot with a cool twist and a really atmospheric and creepy setting--a haunted mansion. Although I suspected what had really happened that night at the mansion fairly early on, it was still really enjoyable to see Jennifer and the gang figure it all out and untangle all the little knots. There were even a couple of small twists in the plot that I was surprised by, even though I'd figured out the overall plot, which made it fun. I also really enjoyed seeing the group's dynamics as they found out that one of their own had landed a publishing contract that they've all been craving. It was interesting to see how this affected the different members and how they tried to enter into the lucky writer's joy and be genuinely happy for her. It was a bittersweet moment for them (and me, as a reader) and I hope we'll get to see each of the others get published before the end of the series.

It's a series that truly makes you care about the characters and I love their interaction with each other and how they band together to solve the mysteries. I also enjoyed learning more about Monique (Betty, LOL) who can be a bit enigmatic and hold herself a little apart from the group. Since the mystery involved her family this time, I feel like we got a better glimpse at the softer side of Monique. There wasn't as much Sam this time around, but what was there was just right.

Looking forward to the next book--I've already purchased the rest of the series!

I started with dying to be published. It's about an aspiring mystery writer thinking about framing herself for a murder to get published. This is the second book in the series with the same characters, one of whom is charged with murder. It was so good I just finished the last book of the series.

The mystery portion of her books are good. I could do without the snide remarks that come from all vegetarians while they nibble on bean sprouts and modeling clay they enjoying calling tofu. Also...no one should own a dog that thinks about "dog germs" when your dog gives you a lick on the cheek. Third book I've read of hers and she spins a great mystery tale.

Judy Fitzwater's novel Dying to Be Murdered is a well-crafted cozy genre mystery. I did see the plot twist coming, but it was still satisfying. I am disappointed to discover that my library system does not have any of Fitzwater's other titles!

Still in the middle of the book, just read it when I have to take my granddaughter to her dance lessons, but it doesn't disappoint. It is as good as the previous books. A light, enjoyable read.

I read a review call this Nancy Drew for adults. Really good insight. I've loved Jennifer Marsh from book 1 and ordered all her series. I'm a series reader and this is a good one.
