Heavily documented by both Dr. Pfeffer’s own research findings and those of other researchers, this book examines ways in which an organization and the policies and management practices therein impact employee health and wellbeing, especially the negative consequences. This book brings together into one place the research across the broad spectrum of employee health and wellbeing.
If you have any association with employees, this book is an essential read. I would particularly encourage my worksite wellness colleagues to read it. The book clearly makes the case for why, as I have been promoting for years now, that worksite wellness programs must address organizational health as much as we are no addressing employee health.
I have no doubt this book will too become the clarion call and sentinel book within the employee health and wellbeing movement. Be sure to read it!
