About the Author

Since 1984, Sr. Rosemary O’Toole has been a spiritual director at The Upper Room Home of Prayer in Ottawa, Canada. The Upper Room provides a small oasis of prayer in solitude and silence in the midst of the city. Since the beginning, Sr. Rosemary has been sought out for on-going spiritual direction, retreats, days of reflection as well as teaching Spirituality courses around the parishes of Ottawa and area. In November 2004, a very unique grace arrived in her life, when her mother, Laura, at 91 was admitted to a palliative care hospital setting in her hometown, Peterborough. She was privileged to accompany her closely for the last four weeks of her earthly journey. Dying Well is shared in gratitude for all the stories and loving memories of our deceased family and friends.
