The Original Insect Trap
Stop Zapping, Start Trapping
This is The Original Insect Trap; winner of the Ideas, Inventions, and Novelties Exhibition (IENA) award for invention. Attract, trap and kill flying insects including mosquitos, biting flies, Asian beetles, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, moths, stink bugs and more!
3-Way Protection Against Mosquitoes and Other Insects
First, a UV fluorescent bulb generates a warm light, attracting insects. Then a second lure, an exclusive Ti02 titanium dioxide-coated surface, produces CO2 (the same gas we emit when we exhale) that's irresistible to mosquitos. Third, a powerful, yet whisper-quiet vacuum fan sucks insects into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die.

I have had a zapper style running for 2 years straight, works wonders. Been interested in these fan style traps, and purchased this new. Set it up under my deck staircase, been running 24/7 for 2 weeks. Emptied today and ...... perfect! Full basket, loaded with months and other winged demon creatures. Included were thousands of Mosquitos, visible clearly from the pictures. I have this approx 4 feet off the ground, and about 20 feet away from my bug zapper. As for the sound, basically silent when placed outdoors. The fan puts out very little noise, and the black light bulb does not light up the surrounding area, unlike my bug zapper.
Will this cure your bug infestations, no, will it help, yes! I'm very pleased with the results, and ease of emptying the catch basket, 1 Phillips
screw to remove and a twist.
I live on 10acres, densly wooded in Michigan. My small slaughter of these annoying insects will have NO negative effect on the total population or local floral. It will however give me more peace when I'm enjoying the outdoors on my deck and patio. Hope this helps make your decision on pruchasing, I'm very happy with this investment.
The first unit had the bulb problem that another reviewer mentioned. The design is poor for accessing the light bulb. The first unit lasted only a few months. I bring the unit inside over the winter. Outside exposure is 3-4 months in summer. It is under an overhang so does not get direct rain. I would not recommend the Dynatrap Insect trap.
