I wanted a way to print from my Kindle Fire HD 7" to my wireless printer at home. I was a little skeptical that anything would work, but it turns out I was wrong. This program works really well, does just what I wanted it to do. I've used it now for a few months with no problems. I don't remember it being difficult to set up. My Fire was already on my home wifi, as was my printer (I print to it wirelessly from my Mac laptop), so the Fire and the printer connected easily. When you choose Share on the Fire, the printer app shows up (along with any word processing programs and such that are on the Fire). You click on the printer app, choose the printer, and the document prints. It just works. If I sound a little dumbfounded, I guess I am. I'm not used to such functionality with so little stress on the Fire (except of course for Amazon content). A lot of apps on the Fire can be glitchy. This one isn't.

Read before you buy for Kindle Fire: I cannot print from gmail or google docs. Also, I cannot print to my google cloud printer. Here's what PrinterShare support says: "Kindle Fire is a different kind of tablet even though it runs (customized) Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
Our app requires an acces to Gmail accounts which are specified under settings/accounts & sync on other Android devices.
Since KF uses a separate app to access your email, PrinterShare is unable to read your account information, access Gmail, Google Docs or Google Cloud Print.
We are currently working on briging the full range of PrinterShare features to Kindle Fire users."

First, you must have the paid version. There is a free version that will allow you to print a test page. BUT, it does print the test page, thank you very much. And a nice test page it is!

The paid version does as advertised. I never would have paid $12.99 but with it under $8.00 here at the 'zon, I knew I could use it. It locates your network and/or ~~nearby~~ printers and prints a variety of formats (4x6, 5x7, etc), doc types (.pdf, pix, OA formats, etc), and intensity (from economy gray to max photo). Good options are available. Some things, though:

1. You need to upload a free printer driver from their website. It is automatic and painless as long as it can identify your printer. While it found my Epson Artison 810, it did not find my wife's newer Epson Artison 830. Strange. If it cannot find a driver, it will take you to a list, by manufacturer, where you can pick yours - or the closest to it in the same family. If my wife's driver were available, it would have been worth another star.

2. Cannot multi-task while running the app.

3. Not blazing fast, but competent. Wouldn't want to print a 20 page doc or a bunch of 8x10 high res photos though.

4. Will print SMS text conversations. Kinda neat, possibly helpful.

Since I use Dropbox on the web, this will be helpful to print those docs when I need to. I suspect it can/will identify printers in wireless networks in hotels, hotspots, etc to print from although I have not tried it.

Last, in these reviews, I found it is always helpful to give the device you are running. So, Samsung Infuse 4G on AT&T...which is an AT&T phone that works at the Amazon Android App Store..

I just bought this app for my kindle fire hd 8.9 and it worked perfect the first time. I had no problems setting it up. An it prints contacts, docs, photos, etc. on my kindle fire. This is what i have been looking for. I have tryed the free apps and not one of them worked or i it took too much to setup. This was easy and fast setup. i highly recomend it if you a looking for an app to print documents, photos or contacts from your kindle fire hd 8.9

I have an HP wireless printer, the HP officejet pro 8500. Unfortunately, I got the last model before ePrint. I have tried a couple other printing apps, but they either don't work at all or require extensive set up and a running computer. This is the first app I've found that allows me to print directly to my wireless printer, and it was easy! there is a free version to run a test page and make sure it will work with your phone and printer. I've printed a few documents and a photo without a hitch.

Originally I liked this app and would have rated it a 4. It works, but updated perms want access to my browser history, to modify my contacts, and to modify my calendar items? Why would a printer app need to do that? Going to stick with the old version and see if these concerns get addressed in future updates. If not, may delete the app from my device and continue advising friends and family against this app.

Just doesn't work with my HP printer. A total waste of money and time. You should be able to see a list of supported products before purchase. I don't recommend this unless you are sure your product is supported.

Had the free version, printed test page just fine. Paid $7.99, it prints outs everything I need it to print. To the person who says paid $7.99 and all it prints is a test page, you're wrong. You probably don't have it configured correctly. Paying $7.99, you do get the full version, it just happened to be marked down. I didn't want to pay $12.95 when I found it on the Android Market, so glad I waited. If you want to print remotely you need to have Cloud Print. Hopefully for all those who want it, it will be discounted again. Definitely worth the $7.99.
