Have my old 1 for spare parts if i ever need them.My old 1 lasted many year and still works but i broke the return spring on the space bar when i was cleaning it. totally my fault and not the keyboards. so i bought this 1 which was used but really was new just open box with the mouse removed. love all the media buttons and the fact that it just plug and play. downloads the drivers it need auto. in win7.
This one does not disappoint. Its very large so make sure you have ample room but besides that, its great. Nice keystrokes, if a little loud. Standard layout with small Enter key works well. It has ALL the mutimedia keys you could want and they all worked for me on plug-in. Very handy.
I cant speak on the durability yet as I just got this one but its definitely going to get the test. So far I would definately recommend it.
Others have mentioned the noise of the keys, but I don't require a silent keyboard. I like the positive feel to the keys and have no problem at all typing with it. I grew up touch-typing on old manual typewriters, progressing to electrics and finally to the early word processors and computers. I haven't noticed any tiring of my hands, and I type on this and other keyboards several hours a day.
The clip on skirt / hand rest looked a bit flimsy but was actually a nice feature. I like the fact that I could choose to put it on or not. I do use it, and I think it helps.
I worried a bit that the functionality of the hot keys would not be there with my Linux system. This turned out not to be a factor. The hot keys work great.
This gives daily service on my main work computer. For cost, dependability, and ease of use, I give this high marks.
