The only vacuum with zero filter maintenance.
Designed for homes with pets.
Dyson Cinetic science.
Dyson Cinetic tips oscillate to prevent microscopic dust blocking the airflow. The dust separation means there's no need for a pre-motor filter, so Dyson Cinetic science doesn't lose suction.
Dyson Cinetic science is so efficient there are no filters to wash or replace.
Whole-machine HEPA filtration
Certified asthma & allergy friendly.
Designed for homes with pets
Tangle-free Turbine tool removes hair from carpets and upholstery.
Instant release wand
Our hose and wand release in one smooth action, making it easy to clean up high.
Carbon fiber soft dusting brush
Ultra-fine carbon fiber filaments improve pick-up of fine dust from hard surfaces. Its thin profile fits into small crevices and an angled handle makes it easy to use.
Reach under tool
A paddle-shaped profile, robust bristles and flexible construction enable dust and dirt removal from the most hard-to-reach parts of your home.
Twists into different positions and angles for easy high-reach cleaning.
Removes dirt and allergens from mattresses and upholstery.
Unlike all other vacuums, this one doesn't lose suction. It's because of the new, revolutionary Dyson Cinetic science - it captures the dust that clogs others. It doesn't have any dirty filters to wash or replace. And it has whole-machine HEPA filtration. There's also a Tangle-free Turbine tool to remove dirt and hair from carpets and upholstery, 4 additional tools + tool bag worth 184.95.

I dropped my rating down to 4 (from 5) stars and here are my top three reasons why:
1) The vacuum has started to squeak which appears to be a common issue/complaint. It gets annoying!
2) It is not very easy to empty the bin once it is full. The bin is not completely hollow since it has the filtration system (or whatever it is) in the middle. Therefore, the debris gets wedged between the container and the filtration system. I continuously have to use a stick to help unwedge and pull the debris and hair out of the container while trying to empty. Some may say "Well, you need to not wait until the vacuum is so full to empty it" and no, I'm not waiting until it's too full to empty so not the problem. Just a bad design.
Other minor issues noted:
-(refer to design flaw in # 2) Due to the bin not being hollow, it is actually smaller than what it appears. This means having to empty your bin much more frequently.
- I've also kind of lost track of all the different attachment tools. Since there are so many of them, I've had to store them away in the storage bag and when it's out of sight, it's out of mind.
- I really wish the hose was a bit longer. I have a flight of stairs (8 steps) and the hose barely stretches enough to reach the top from the bottom. Even then, it is really stretching it!
- A bit difficult to maneuver on non-carpet flooring due to the suction power--you really have to pull and use your body to help turn/guide the vacuum.
Otherwise, I would still rate this vacuum's cleaning and suction power FIVE stars!!! Despite some of noted nuances, I still love my Dyson and would still recommend purchasing this vacuum (especially now that it is out on the market longer and not as expensive as when it initially came out).
I owned the Dyson DC25 for 6 years and eventually, it continuously overheated after 5-10 minutes of use. We then ordered the Cinetic Big Ball Animal Plus vacuum as the replacement. My kids and I are major allergy sufferers so there was no doubt in my mind that I would purchase a Dyson again! Our vacuum just arrived today and it only took me about 10 minutes to assemble (would've been shorter but I was having fun playing with and looking through all various attachment tools). What can I say? So far, I am LOVING my new vacuum after one use! I thought the DC25 was great but I am blown away and in amazement over how thorough this new one cleans!!! I couldn't believe the amount of dust, hair, and other crap in the bin after just one quick round with the vacuum (view picture)! I feel awful & disgusted seeing what was in my carpet/flooring (but that's also because our old vacuum recently gave out). Here's my quick review:
-CLEANS PHENOMENALLY and right up to the edges without need for getting the extra attachments out to finish up the job
-HEPA Filter and no need to replace/wash the filter--NO STINKY/DIRTY air coming out of the vacuum!!! (YUCK!)
-AWESOME suction and as mentioned, consistent and no loss of suction/power
-Easy maneuverability, easy to get under the smaller spaces
-Multiple attachment tools (and comes with a bag to store them in)--I haven't used the hose and attachments yet
-One hand release to empty the bin (and it's easy to do)
-Slightly longer cord (than the DC 25) & very thick and durable
-Easy assembly (from the box)
-Nice, durable tote bag is included to store the attachment tools
-For the price paid, the plastic material of this machine is pretty cheap and flimsy (i.e. plastic carrying handle, the plastic "ball" covering, the clear plastic on the whole head/front of the vacuum). With time and use, I am hoping nothing will crack!
-A light on the front would be awesome to allow better visibility
-Although not a problem for me, this machine is not "light" weight and gives a decent workout after vacuuming the whole house
-There are a lot of attachment tools which is GREAT only if you don't lose them! They do not all fit onto the vacuum (majority will need to be stored in the nice tote bag that is included) so it may be a hassle if you have to keep toting around your tote bag to get access to all your tools when you need it
-EXPENSIVE! (But in my experience and opinion, worth it)!
This is it for now.....will update once I've used this machine a bit more and have a better feel for it! Overall, if you have small children, pets, and/or allergies, this is a GREAT machine and highly recommended!!!
After two months of use... the worst Dyson we have owned. This is our fourth Dyson, and this one has had the most issues by far. This is the first Dyson that totally loses suction. This happens over a period of a few days. There is a very fine mesh suction element within the plastic bin that clogs with hair and other debris (see photos). Once this is fully clogged, the vacuum loses all suction. This appears to be a design error to me. At least once per week, I have to disassemble the dust bin completely, and scrape hair and dust off of the this mesh screen. Planning on calling Dyson to discuss this. Further, the big ball squeaks and the overall feel is cheap plastic. We're Dyson fans, but this one is a miss.
So, I vacuumed about a 3ftx10ft part of the hallway with our old vacuum(eureka boss), then I went back over it with this, and its amazing how much more it picked up just in that little area. I would say about 1in^2 of extra dirt it picked up. So, if you could imagine the whole house all the dirt being left behind by the old vacuum...well lets just say it was satisfying knowing I'll be living in a much cleaner house now.
This is one quiet vacuum when compared to my old vacuum. The old vacuum you'd have to yell to talk to someone else, with this you could easily hear just by talking normal or a little louder than normal.
The Power of this thing must be Amazing. The carpet actually feels like its been rejuvenated a little after using this. We have berber carpeting, and you can see the high traffic areas(very flat and worn down looking), but after vacuuming with this, the high traffic areas feel/look more fluffy/less matted is probably the best way to put it.
I did read some reviews about it just pushing big items around, and not sucking them up. Well i was vacuuming popcorn, a whole frenchfry, pretzels they all went right into the canister no problem. The thing even lifts stickers stuck to the carpet(ahhh toddlers). Not to mention you can see all the videos of it picking up chunky stuff.
My biggest gripe about this is the way it locks up. You can push it back up and it will click but its not actually locked in the upright position. So, you have to push it up again and hope it locks.
My second grip is one half of the ball wobbles, it doesn't affect the performance so its just a minor thing IMO.
All in all I'd give this 4.5stars, but since we can't do half stars I'll round up to five. If i have problems with this in the future i'll update my review, but until then know its going strong and nothing has changed.
