I think I've finally found the answer with E6000 Adhesive Spray. I tried it last night on a very detailed die cut, following the directions and spraying from about 10 inches above the paper. I noticed immediately how quickly this stuff dries and the complete lack of stickiness. This glue is water-based, strong, non-staining, and adheres beautifully. The bottle is pump-action, rather than aerosol, so you have a lot of control over where the glue goes. I checked my project this morning and each intricate hole in the die cut was free of staining or stickiness (and my tweezers and fingers weren't fuzed together, as they usually are). I'm anxious to try it with glitter and embellishments. Great stuff!
Make sure you clean after every use. I use GooGone or WD…these work great on removing gummy and sticky things. I use a q tip to clean the nozzle part and it works like magic for next use!! For me this maintains the nozzle and prevents the spray from spraying a straight line rather than a wide mist, which is what it is meant to do….
What a great product…now I just need a gallon of this stuff!!
UPDATE: It is 2016 and I discovered that applying E6000 with a paint brush, sponge brush is the KEY. I no longer spray directly on item, instead I either spray in a dish or non stick mat and apply to item or I spray directly on the item and spread with brush.Read more ›
