To keep it short and sweet, EA Sports did an excellent job of porting this game over for the handheld and it's to be expected. Starting the game up you would almost think that this was the console version of the game as it has the same menus and overall GUI as its larger brother.

You still have many of the options as well however some may sadly miss the Ultimate team mode that, for many became a virtual time sink in trying to build your all star team.

Gameplay is still very fluid although the touch controls may take getting used to. The rear shooting controls are a nice touch to let you accurately shoot balls but the front screen touch is a bit distracting. Thankfully, you can turn these options off if you choose to. The other minus is not being able to transpose your face in the game. It's a miss considering there is a camera on the Vita. There is an issue also sometimes with the framerate slowing down but it still doesn't take away from the game experience.

You still have some of the key modes such as career mode and tournaments you can set up.

If you are a footy fan and want to really feel as if you are getting the console experience away from the console, there is no better way than this. For a launch title, FIFA still gives you everything you may want out of a soccer title!

This is a great launch title and shows off the power of the Vita well. It's pretty comparable to the PS3 version, but some features are missing. Ultimate team got the ax, and I'm ok with that for a handheld. Some people on here said they didn't like the rear touchpad implementation. I loved it however. I think it adds accuracy in the offensive third of the field that you didn't have before. I'm a big fan. The front touch controls are a whole different story. They don't add anything to the game, and it is annoying to have your hands constantly moving back and forth in front of the screen. I found myself playing the game with the buttons and rear touchpad.

Overall its a blast to play if you like the PS3 version. I highly recommend it.

I remember playing Fifa 98 World Cup on my N64 and being instantly hooked. I'm a huge soccer fan and Fifa game fan as well. I've played every Fifa game since then and long have I been wishing for a decent FIFA handheld game. I used to pick up the PSP FIFA titles but not getting into them as much as my console versions. I made a mistake in buying the 3DS version in the meantime thinking that would hold me over till I saved up for my Vita, BIG MISTAKE!! The graphics have lacked as well as the gameplay on every handheld FIFA I had played so far, nothing could really compare to the consoles. Then along came Vita and changed the game. When I first saw how beautiful FIFA looked on a Vita it was my reason to buy it.

Now for those who are wondering the differences between the handheld and the console version. Well there are a few, for one shooting is a little bit more simplified not really being able to kick curve balls while running like on console. No 11 vs 11 online mode which is understandable because everyone would be lagging. That's one minor complaint I have about the game is that when playing head to head against someone online I've noticed for the most part there is lag, its not a deal breaker unless you mostly play online. I mostly play career mode, I use my PS3 for online play.

Overall this game is a blast on Vita, the graphics are up to par with console and is a must for any FIFA fan on the go. This is by far the best handheld version of FIFA I've ever played and I find myself playing this version now more than my console version.

When i heard of the line up for the PS Vita I decided to go with EA FIFA Soccer as the first game to buy since there is more gameplay value in them. Just like the PS3/Xbox the PS vita version is similar. All the Game modes you want on the PS3/Xbox has them even online. The Franchise Mode Gives you around 15 season career mode. You could Trade, buy, and sell players with other teams.

The Gameplay for this plays like any other FIFA game but with added features. On the PS Vita you could use the touch screen to pass the ball or use the rear pad to shoot the ball. I found this frustrating because sometimes one small touch kicks the ball. I had to turn off the rear and touch screen off on the settings. I found the game setting lacking on some things like changing the commentary to different languages.

Overall this game is fun to play with and to take around and play. With everything that the PS3 and Xbox have into a small portable version. Will highly recommend for Football Fans or FIFA fans.

This game is so much fun, and the graphics are amazing. I don't play soccer video games, but they make it very easy to learn/win on the novice setting. Lots of options and teams. The use of the rear touch pad for taking shots on goal is a great idea.

This game is THE reason I got my PS Vita and I've been enjoying it a lot! I have a PS3 with FIFA 11 but every time I played FIFA on my iPhone my hands hurt and the graphics sucked!! (still suck!!) So I got my Vita because I wanted to have a console experience whenever I wanted and wherever I was without having to turn on the PS3 and the TV. This game DELIVERS in everything. IF you are a fan of FIFA get this! And buy yourself a VITA!
