Descent Toggle Switch

I looked around for a quality switch to replace the one that was on my generator.

I needed a simple on/off toggle switch and this one fit the bill. Comes with a lower nut that fits a wrench and another top nut that is round which can be gripped with pliers. I put the lower nut at the depth needed for the cover I installed the switch in and then tightened the top nut down to the cover plate which held the switch snugly in place. Since I mounted it on a vibrating generator I needed to make sure the connection could hold up to vibration so I was easily able to solder the connections so the screws could not come loose.

This is a high quality switch with a solid toggle action. Could easily be used for DC applications, like on your boat, or AC applications like I used it for to ground out a generator shutting it off.

Awesome switches, simple and they stay tight when mounted. These look great added to a stock dash or center console to control lights, radios, usb ports, inverters, etc. Solder sticks to the contacts, if you prefer that route; 1/4" female connectors do not slide on though.

Simple, well-made, heavy duty SPST!

I BIAB and use two of these switches. One for my main power in to the panel (120VAC, 20Amp,) and the other to energize the heater element control. My only comment (not enough to remove a star,) is that it doesn't come with an "On/Off" plate. That's why they have label makers!
