I've said it before and I will say it again, my favorite reading moment is when you start out reading a book expecting it to be an average read, but by the end you are completely blown over by how much you loved it. KT Bryan has done it! BRILLIANT!
This book had it all! It moved at probably the fastest clip I've ever experienced. I was certain though at some point it was going to hit a snag, but it kept giving and going. Bryan propelled this story forward, with an amazing ensemble of characters who endured so much, and packed it full of action and adventure it was an absolute joy to read.
Dillon and Sarah were both strong willed, stubborn characters, that at times frustrated me so much (in a good way) I wanted to put them in the penalty box. Dillon and Sarah's trials and tribulations were brought to you by one of the darkest and brutal villains I've read in along time Sanchez. I would feel remised in not declaring a secondary villain, Sarah's demonic father. Even though his scene was brief, and gave you insight into Sarah and her brothers childhood it certainly packed a punch! I wanted to reach into the pages and strangle him myself.
I consider it a sign of a good author when they ravel the reader into their web of adventure, deceit, loyalty, loss, and love. By the time I reached the end Bryan had me woven in, and gave me this bubbly excited feeling that wants me to sing this books praises and proclaim "It's a 10 star! Grab this book, and hold on! You're in for a great ride!" I simply can not wait until the next addition. My only hope is Bryan has a lot more to say, because I am ready to listen!
Although the book is part of a series, it can very well stand alone. Each book has some of the same characters but this story wraps up within the pages of this book.
