I have a couple of Dell "off lease" computers without wireless. I wanted to use one of them away a network cable so I figured, what the heck, give this a try. Computer was running Windows 8.1. I unplugged the network cable and plugged this into a USB port. I did not install a driver or do anything. It came right up, saw my network and I typed in my password and away we went! I could not believe how simple it was. Next I wanted to check its speed. I ran "Speed Test" and was surprised that this thing ran the same speed of my other wireless computers which used more expensive internal cards.
What is not to love? Just plug it in and go! I could not be happier. What I love is that rather than having to buy an internal card for each computer I can just plug it into whatever unit I am using and its ready to go.
Yes, I will buy one again!

I plugged it in, immediatly on windows 10 it came up, and recognized other networks, i installed mine upfront of my Desktop to maximize signal (i live in a crowded house so bandwidth is an issue). The signal is strong, i made better ping then when i used ethernet to my laptop to piggy back on its wifi instantly which is great. It does NOT pivot side to side but does have a vertical pivot that allows you to point it up or out. Really sturdy feeling, am gaming on it within 30 seconds of installing it and unplugging my laggy ethernet.

This dongle w/antenna was just delivered about 20 minutes ago. I have Windows 10, so all I had to do was plug it in and restart my computer and, voila, both the WiFi and Bluetooth were up and running. Actually, I also had to login to my router from my computer after I restarted. Very easy setup, truly plug-and-play. I'm impressed with the signal range. I can go throughout my almost 900 sqft apartment, including the closets, and still hear the audio clearly. With my last dongle, I couldn't do yoga without the audio breaking up and completely stopping, and I was only about a foot away. Plus, the WiFi connection is just as fast as the wired connection was. I wish I had bought this one the first time. I was worried that I would have to have the antenna pointing sideways, but the connector allows you to orient it in any direction that you need. I'm very happy with this adapter so far.
