Positives: easy setup, long charge/1week, just plug base into any USB, has time and date, alerts phone calls and numbers, can read texts, synic s with map application to give directions, multiple sports. Water resistant
Weaknesses: while step counter is OK it understated the amount. I ride a bike at theY and does not keep good track of calories. Calories counter is more of an estimate. If you get up during the night to pee the sleep monitor stop. The next day it looks like you slept for3.25 hour so you can say it keeps track of frequent nighttime urination.
This does everything it claims to do! My husband wanted a pedometer, but I thought I'd do him one better & get him a Fitbit. Well he didn't care about the socialization part of having a Fitbit (challenges, friends, etc) so I felt it was a waste of my money & returned it. Then I saw this! I watched a video & it seemed PEEFECT! I ordered it, received it & guess what. It's PEEFECT! My husband loves it! It monitors his sleep, he likes the capability of reading his text messages on the device & the caller ID feature (except when someone is "blowing" him up...usually me 😊), it does a good job tracking his steps. There was a minor issue w/ tracking his steps at 1st, but that was resolved quickly & easily. At 1st every time he moved his arm to eat, scratch his head, etc it was adding steps. He is a lefty & once he moved it to his right wrist it proved to be more accurate. Sometimes it's still a little off due to his arm movements (which holds true for my Fitbit), but not nearly as much as it was before moving it to his non dominant hand. Then this past weekend while out of town the device lost track of time. We have no idea why. We didn't change time zones, it didn't go dead,(it was low,but not dead) it was about 3hrs off. Anybody else with this device have this issue? Anyway so far it hasn't happened again.
FYI if you're pushing a cart while grocery shopping your steps will not be counted...by any fitness tracker. When I remember I put it in my pocket or pin it to my pant leg if I don't have pockets.
Just to reiterate you can only read the text messages-not reply to them from the device.
**All the features on this device work well! This is every bit as good as a Fitbit (1/3 of the co$t) & honestly I'm kinda jealous. The only reason I have a Fitbit instead of this one is b/c of the challenges I participate in w/ my Fitbit friends!
**I haven't figured out how to work the remote camera access or voice control. My husband has "filed" away the instructions. So I can't comment on those features.
I was not paid for this review nor did I receive it for free or a discount, but it is an honest & fair review.
