Heavy duty like the other EK punches I own, it is 2" OD so the little scallop points cut IN-wards. Compared to my 2.5" this one is rarely used, but it is still a solid 2handed punch that is used by putting it on a sturdy surface (counter or tabletop) then the thin cardboard or posterboard is put into it to be punched then put ball of one hand over the latchy part and other on top and press down.

Like all the large EK Success punches, I store it unlatched so as not to compress the springs... there is a pinch point as it closes on outer edge (I usually get the right hand) so keeping both hands out of the way as it closes is important, and it won't punch anything other than medium light cardstock or thin posterboard (or recycled Ubake frozen pizza boxes). And it punches not far from the edge. If you want to punch in the middle of a card or the like you need a different punch, one of the two parters that allow you to position where you want.

As I have arthritis and generally horrid hand issues, so I tend to use a Cricut for any cutting. I do have a couple of the Fiskars punches, and have found their quality to be good - although I have to limit the amount that I use them. This makes beautiful, clean cuts and I love how the design has a locking mechanism and can store flat. Also, these are designed in such a way that my young children can use them without any concerns about safety - a real plus. I was so pleased that I bought two of them!

Sadly, I missed my very brief return window or this would be going back. Instead, I'm stuck with a Punch that doesn't punch. It will sort of cut paper in a few spots, but it only penetrates the paper along about 30% of the pattern. I've tried working on adjusting the plates thinking there was just a mismatch, but no luck. Total waste of my money. I won't be buying from this seller again. They should check that what they are selling actually works and their return policy is a little too restrictive for someone doing business online.

This tool punch is sharp and quick to punch at least 3 pieces of paper at a time. It is quite sturdy and easy to hold. I found that the paper didn't get stuck and have used it heaps for Christmas tags. 2 inches was perfect just to fit a name on it. It was delivered quickly.

Better than I expected. I have a couple other punchers (Martha Stewart) that cannot compare to how great this one is. It cuts smooth and doesn't have any tearing when cutting through card stock paper. I will definitely buy this brand again. Extremely easy to use. Be warned... it is a little on the heavy side.
