Although I think it was designed to use with wood block stamps where placement is hit or miss. I can see where it will also be useful in placing cling and even clear stamps. I experimented with two wood block stamps and was able to stamp a dragonfly exactly where I wanted it on a flower.
This item comes in two parts; the clear plastic piece and the hard plastic anchor. Even though it doesn't seem like something with two parts would be that complicated, I had to have someone explain it to me a few times when I first used it a few years ago. I'm not sure the pictures would help someone who has never seen or used something like this before, but then again, I sincerely doubt someone would pick up a stamp-a-ma-jig without knowing what it is and instantly want to use it, so they might be safe there. The plastic cleans easily, and the anchor stays in place. It's really easy to use, and I loved being able to get it on sale.
While this is primarily for wood block stamp use, it is also effective with clear stamps. I think this tool is absolutely essential for anyone wanting to stamp with accuracy.
