That issue aside, it is not clear what literary contribution has been made to the original text by the editor in this edition.

Despite these flaws, Shrunk does state a few massively basic but helpful rules. The famous one, rightfully, is of course 13: omit needless words. This elegantly explains the exhausting use of expressions like "a man who" that can so easily be excluded.
