Not only comfortable in use, Cobra goes further than the competition to offer additional value. With unquestioned ergonomic control and balance, the gaming community has welcomed the E-BLUE brand for everything they’ve done well and continue to explore. 4 Levels of DPI selection from a mouse that breaks the $20 price barrier, the Cobra is in a class of its own. An intelligent design features each primary button in the ideal location for the best. Everything is intuitive and the combination of the micro switch and special (extended) design of the clicking surface, you’ll get the job done more swiftly than you have ever been able to before!
For multi-purpose applications, including graphic design, animation or audio production, as well as standard web browsing, the Forward and Backward keys are totally useful. The designers of the Cobra from E-BLUE created a new surface coating material, which resists UV damage far better than mice than are not equipped. A specialized USB (another thing brought to us by engineers behind this mouse) allows for a secure connection, ensuring data transmission is never interrupted.
Last but not least, especially when it comes to gaming mouse acceleration, the Optical Sensor featured in the Cobra is achieves a maximum of 16 G thanks to the AVAGO 5050 high gaming chipset. Cobra offers the best in ultra-high sensitivity, the result of which is precision tracking. Going the extra steps to bring you the best accuracy and performance, the Cobra mouse has built-in counterweights. The physical “feel” of the mouse is built for gamers who seek the ultimate control.
Cobra offers the scaly skin (UV protection) and toughest, most-agile performance. There are no other comparable products available with such keen balance between price, features and aesthetic appeal!
Top customer reviews
About a month ago I started realizing that when I click with the LMB it would only register every other click. So to double-click something, I would actually have to click the mouse 3 times instead of 2. I plugged in and used another mouse for a week with no issues, so the problem is definitely with the mouse and not my computer. I tried downloading new drivers and cleaning out this mouse and the problem didn't go away. Since my backup mouse is much smaller (and wireless), I've still been using this one while I shop around for a new one and the problem has been getting worse. Now I sometimes have to click the left mouse button 3-4 times just to get it to actually click once.
The build quality is what you'd expect for paying less than $10. The cool matte coating over the plastic on the spot where my pointer finger rests on the LMB has worn off (again, after about a year of less than daily use - see the pictures I attached but don't judge how dirty it looks! I've given up cleaning it now that it's dead and I'm ordering a new mouse!).
And despite these two issues (one of form and one of function), I don't think this was a bad purchase. The mouse itself is comfortable under my hand, the scroll wheel is large (which I love!), the programmable buttons on the side are useful, and it's an attractive mouse (until the plastic coating wears off...) - all for under $10.
That said, I am definitely considering longevity more for my next mouse purchase!
Perfect for me
~ Fits my hand well- even though I am female, I have fairly long hands, so items that are too small tend to make my hands uncomfortable and cramp. This is the right size and has a nice curve. also I love the texture of it, it is like a soft velvety matte finish, so I barely notice when I'm using it and it doesn't stick to my hand on hot days.
~ Wired- No more replacing batteries or leaking acid.
~ Buttons are firm with a satisfying click- the right and left mouse buttons don't trigger with just the weight of my fingers so I don't have to hold them above the buttons like some mice, and the mouse wheel isn't slippery on your finger or in action at all. It has a very satisfying click(for the third button, pressing the click wheel down) and the scrolling action isn't too fast or slow because it has grooves like a gear.
- Color/light- It has a blue light that isn't too bright. My boyfriend has a gaming mouse that is really bright and distracting in use, and this isn't at all like that. It is a nice slightly muted level, but still visible and cool looking. ALSO- the red sensor on the bottom isn't shockingly bright either if I pick it up. It doesn't send red light spilling over my desk or blinding me if I want to clean underneath it.
~ Plug and Play- Thank god. There was a problem with the instructions(see below) but I was still able to plug it in and have it install drivers and be recognized.
~ Has two extra thumb buttons- However I don't know what to do with them, because of the instruction problem
~ Feels well built- Some mice feel flimsy and light, and seem to break the first time you drop it. This feels solid but light at the same time. It isn't heavy but it feels like it will last a long time.
~ Not a SUPER high tech gamin mouse- Perfect for my uses. I don't need 20 thumb buttons. I use it for basic computer work, video and audio editing, and casual gaming.
~ Instructions: The instructions in the box were in Japanese and there were ZERO English instructions anywhere except on the back of the box, and those were mostly selling points not how to use it. THE ONLY REASON I GAVE IT 4 INSTEAD OF 5 STARS! Everything else was fine with me, not deal killers.
~ Can't use the two thumb buttons- I don't know how to assign them because of the instructions.
~ Can't turn off the blue light- I wish there was an eco setting or a switch that I could use to turn off the blue light. It is helpful in the evening when it is dim, but during the day I don't need it.
~ Not a SUPER high tech gaming mouse- so don't buy it for that. When it arrived I got a few words of approval from my gamer friends, but I don't think it would perform as well as the higher cost mice. Though I can't say for sure, since I didn't test it.
Overall, I really like this mouse. If you can muddle through well enough on your own, go for it. If you want good instructions though, go elsewhere.
