1.0 out of 5 stars Misleading advertisement and no response from seller.
By Amz Sheep on December 16, 2019
I received what seems to be older version of ES1 but not ES1 Gen 2 as advertised. Alerted by another buyer on here so I checked the tag and there it is, 250W power, 12.5mph speed. More over, there is no dual suspension as depicted. Very misleading.

I do like the scooter and since this is my first Segway-Ninebot scooter so I cannot tell the difference between 250W and 300W power scooter or dual or single suspension system, but I expected to get what was advertised.

I had asked multiple questions about my concerns but not a single response from anyone, not even from Segway.

Since Amazon has a flexible returning policy, I’m returning the scooter and may try my luck again on another purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars LABEL ES1 250 Watt but....
By Erlisa on December 27, 2019
LABEL SAID ES1 so i checked and read all the articles, Gen 2 it said it can reach 15,5mph or 25kmp. Gen 1 only can reach top speed at 12mph or 19kmp. So i’ve been riding it back and forth. I am 125pounds and it can easily reach 28kmp every single time..

About the shock they said dual suspensions but since i never knew or tried generation 1, I couldn’t tell.

I tried Gotrax 1&2 they got better suspensions because of the air tires. With ninebot, i hurt my eyes when i rides them at sidewalk. Feel like somebody put you in a shaker cup and shake the hell out of u!!!

Dizzy and the shock is unbearable so i have to ride them at the road instead and it wont feel a thing.

I still like it because the back fender is strong and nicely build if u compare it with gotrax, I returned them because they break and second ones they wont open even though i like the suspensions better.

Ninebot is more compact and better quality. I hope i wont change my reviews in no time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great scooter for first time riders! Value for the buck.
By Stan on January 2, 2020
Sooo I’ve got the scooter finally. I think this scooter deserves better scoring. The build quality is very good. Setup and start up is relatively simple. The box had a sticker on it that it is 15miles version. The sticker on the base under the scooter was saying it was 250w. However, if you look at the motor itself the code on it means it is 300 watt version. So I guess they changed motor and upgraded electronics to Gen2 but the rear base side is still the same as Gen1 and they have not changed the label on it. I will update with tests, but is is a great scooter especially as a present for my daughter. And it is less expensive then ES2. So about suspension, it has only front not the rear. But I haven’t seen anything tells about rear suspension. Rear suspension is only on ES2. But I am still good with that. Not that critical for the price tag.

*Update: I’ve tested the scooter, here and there, it can do 13-14 miles on a charge, and that is with my kid. I have added video proving the speed, it can do 15-16 mph. On a flat. Down the hill we where going 18-19mph. So far so good.
