I tape these to CD cases using washi tape, and students can put the card inside of the CD case to create a spinner for their games. I also enjoy using these as is because you can set them over any paper to create a spinner. I teach kindergarten, and while a pencil and paper clip work, these are very "special" and can motivate students and make them think they are playing a game. It's a win win! These are very sturdy. I've had the same set for three years with no real damage!

For the longest time I have had my students use a paper clip and pencil as a spinner. I finally purchased these for my students this year and I question why I waited so long. These are so much more convenient. My package came with 5 spinners. Four of them have held up well but one of the spinners likes to come apart from the plastic every once in a while. I'm not sure it if is a product flaw or if it just got into the wrong tiny destructive hands. Regardless, I would still like my school district to purchase another set of these for my classroom.

I purchased these for my first grade classroom.....wow I get a lot for my classroom! These are clear and easy to use on my laminated games that require a spinner. The kiddos just don't have the fine motor to hold a paperclip with a pencil so these are slick! They hold up well but eventually may break, after a year or two of use. I simply always have a few sets on hand in my classroom.

The spinners I received are not the same as those pictured. The picture shows a metal arrow attached with what looks like a grommet to the transparent plastic. The spinners I received have a black plastic arrow that is fastened together through a hole in the middle of the plastic. I chose these spinners (which were more expensive than similar spinners with plastic arrows) because I wanted a spinner that would lay flat over paper. I'm disappointed to have not received what I expected based on the picture and description. That being said, these do spin and the arrow seems to be securely fastened into place. The back of the arrow only elevates the spinner about 1/16" above the surface it is placed on.
