Cables long enough. Ideal to adapt better to the case.
It has six SATA connectors, three MOLEX connectors with a floppy disk connector, 1 connector for the 20 + 4-pin motherboard, two 4-pin CPU connectors, two 6-pin 2-pin PCI-E connectors. Optimum performance with efficient energy consumption. It comes with its AC power cord and 4 screws to install. Bring a manual of installation recommendations. It is very easy to install. Just use a little common sense. The power supply is silent. I don't have much time with her, but so far it has worked great. Keep in mind to calculate the consumption of the components of your PC before buying a power supply and always buy one that delivers more power than you need.
The construction is metal, it feels quite robust, compatible with most ATX cases.
I can definitely recommend this source. If something new happens over time, please be assured that I will update this review.
The first 500BR PSU I got was DOA, but I didn't know that b/c I was working on a new build & was adding a piece at a time. That was my stupidity for not checking the PSU when it first came in (it was also my first DOA PSU I've ever received). After a lengthy 45'ish day RMA for the DOA PSU, I get this PoS in (e.g. the pictured PSU), with a wire clearly yanked out of the mainboard connector, with the connector sleeve nowhere in sight (presumably like that when EVGA shipped out the "new" PSU, with all of the leads rubber-banded together). Now... 4'ish months after the first DOA PSU, I still don't have a new, working PC, & I have another PoS PSU that has to be RMA'ed at my expense in shipping; e.g. the "strike 2" reference. At this point, there's no point in a 2nd RMA, given that I will have invested into EVGA what I could have gotten from a QUALITY PSU from another company.
Seriously... save yourselves the trouble & avoid EVGA (if you've gotten good stuff from them, count yourselves lucky, b/c the moment you get your first piece of crap, you're SoL in getting anything other than crap from EVGA, with added expense).
-Nice modular connections
-Mounting screws included
-Decent efficiency rating
-ECO Mode extends fan life
-5 year warranty
-Looks good in basically any build
Cons: -Does not include the power on self-tester plug that some higher end EVGA units come packaged with.
- NOISE when it hits its second RPM setting. Once things heat up it kicks up from its normal lower rpm setting and becomes audible.
Overall Review: I highly recommend this for a lower budget PC build or simple power supply replacement. It's really easy to use and well built for its price point. I would never use a bargain bin power supply. This is about the best value you can find for a well made modular power supply for a machine that doens't need crazy amounts of power. It'll run pretty much any average machine and even some higher performance ones without issue.
