I bought the motherboard and I thought it did not work, so after a few checks I had the idea that eventhough I was using a 1,200 Watt power supply (in fact I tried 2 other ones from other brands) , it still looked like it needed more power so I went ahead and ordered the power supply they recommended and boom it worked perfectly, so I recommend that you buy this powersupply to not have any issues: EVGA Classified SR-2 1200 Watt Continuous Power ATX No Power Supply 100-PS-1200-GR

And if your using the computer for rendering and fixing heavy photos like I do, I recommend you buy 2 of these: "EVGA GeForce GTX 580 3072 MB GDDR5", one will not be enough to make it bullet fast.

And watchout and make sure you buy the processors that go with it, the i7 does not run dual on this motherboard.

Quite an amazing, big BIG motherboard. Little disappointed that it has no USB 3.0 pins, but I fixed that with creative wiring and some rare adapters.

My system:

EVGA SR-2
Case: Cosmos II
CPU: 2x Xeon E5620
GPU: Zotac GTX 670 4GB

Beautiful flawless performance. Haven't really stress tested it yet but I am sure it can handle anything I throw at it. Not to mention being the only overclockable Dual CPU board (current) around... Never had an EVGA motherboard previously, now I think I will forever ...

Where else can you run Xeons overclocked to the speeds of the newer Quad channel units at 1/2 the price?
You can't. For video editing and special effects, these are the best. With the X5675's or X5690's you can build a system for 1/2 the cost of a newer type quad channel, and I can tell you as the owner of 2 DELL T7600 Dual Xeon systems, Mine is faster.

My benchmarks are better, my render times are better, and my cost is better. The Dells cost around $15000 and couldn't be purchased correctly configured, so we needed to mod them to use an SSD and raided drives.

The EVGA SR-2 works out of the box, and OVERCLOCKS for much better performance too.
Buy two, it'll still be less than the other Big Box guys.

My first board was giving me a ton of errors, but Amazon shipped me a new one out fast. This motherboard can be a bit of a pain to set up. Had to flash a bios update before installing windows. It gives you a ton options from running 4 graphics cards, two cpu, multiple sata ports. Its picky about the ram and it takes a certain cpu or it wont work, evga has a list of which cpu it takes and ram. This motherboard is very big it wont fit in any average tower, has to be hptx case. I have the Rosewill Blackhawk case that works great.
