All three feature a 3-year warranty, quiet fan, and plenty of plugs. The 500W have even more plugs than the 450W. The Bronze series features a power supply that is 85% efficient versus 80% on the other two. All good.
The new power supply did indeed arrive overnight. My dog and the power supply were both waiting for me when I got home from work. I unplugged the computer, attached my anti-static wristband, removed the old power supply, attached the new power supply, closed up the case and... nothing!
Wait, what? I opened it back up, made sure all the connections were secure, and tried again. Nothing.
I put in a call to EVGA Tech Support. I was talking to a tech guy within 5 minutes. We troubleshot the setup. At one point the tech said to make sure the CPU connector was attached to the motherboard. Thankfully that cord is labeled. I had connected the PCI cable to the motherboard in error. Once I corrected this bit of stupidity, the computer came back to life, my wife praised my genius (since she had her computer back within 24 hours), and my dog was oblivious.
The ability to quickly access good tech support, plus the quality of the power supply, is why I am a happy camper and will recommend EVGA power supplies.
That said... It arrived early and was quite impressive in size and packaging. My freind talked me through the installation over the phone for this and the new video card. All of it was easier than I thought.
When I started up my PC, I got to see what a REAL video card can do, look like, and work. The games I had been playing (Star Trek Online, GW2, and others looked brand new. Th graphics were sharp, fluid, clean, brilliant, and I finally know what I have been missing. The power supply was necessary for the video card I purchased.
Being 52 years old and on disability, I couldn't afford this on my own, so I am grateful to my online friends for making gaming fun and enjoyable for me. Even though what I have isn't really a true'gaming rig' (I was so embarrassed) and I will never be able to afford one, this video card has probably brought me closer than I'll ever get and it's amazing. For what its worth I would recommend it to anyone as well as the power supply. The power supply looked and felt like quality equipment. All the cords were bundled and bound in webbing. It made installing an ease. I understand now, why gamers are willing to pay more for a better product. My freind tells me it's better than the card he has in his custom built rig and couldn't do better for the rig I have to work with. I've been using it for a few months now.
I feel almost like I have the right to call myself a gander now. Lol.EVGA, YOU MAKE A GREAT PRODUCT.
Once getting this, you can see that it is a good quality power supply that has some good weight and feels very solid. My only complaint really is I wish that the cables were modular as there are a lot of connector cables that you may or may not use all of. In the case of this budget build, I only used a few of the cables and the rest I had to plastic tie out of the way. But it does provide enough cables and variety of cables to hook up anything you need. The power supply was easy to put into the case and connected easily and when powered up the fan is silent and works efficiently.
One of the most important parts of a computer build is the power supply and for a budget build this power supply will provide all the power you need and will be reliable. EVGA backs this up with a good warranty at 3 years as well.

You've got everything you need for a good mid to high end gaming PC. The one issue you may have about these cables are they are not sleeved. So if you have a windowed case and are trying to co-ordinate the colouring, it could look ugly, you can always by sleeves for the cables. But my system does not have a window and therefore I don't care.
Everything comes well packaged, and wrapped up neatly, I had no concerns upon opening the box and worrying if anything was damaged or even scratched, excellent.
I like to test out PSUs before installing them to make sure they're working, so in order to do this you need a paperclip (or something similar), and you need to connect a green and black wire up together. But with this PSU, EVGA sent out a handy attachment that you simply clip on to the end of the 20 + 4 motherboard connector and fire it up, it's a fantastic addition.
At the moment I am running this in a system that has no dedicated graphics card, and therefore when idle, the fan on the PSU does not spin up. It only spins when I am drawing the maximum CPU load when rendering, so the power efficiency seems to work really well.
This PSU will be able to power a GTX 780 TI, 970s and 980s with ease and the R9 290(X) as well, but don't expect to be able to run SLI/Crossfire with this PSU.
Overall this is a great PSU for the mid to high end gamer, and for when you are just watching a film or browsing the internet this PSU is really efficient, it's a great power supply.
Went with Intel Skylake setup as the prices weren't much different from previous Haswell and it will be a more future proofed system. Took my time installing all the components and installing Windows 8.1. I now have a fast to boot and pretty much silent PC for browsing and office duties (so no need for a graphics card).
Most likely overkill for this basic PC spec, but I wanted quiet and a brand with a good reputation. Fitted easily in the case and the cabling was long enough to reach every installed component. 3 year warranty to boot.
Very happy with this PSU.

Got it as for a computer I built for my parents for Christmas and what can I say, it does the job.
Don't expect Premium cable colours/sleeves or anything ofcourse but if you just need a basic power supply that can handle a graphics card (with today's new technology it'll handle even high end ones) then this is the perfect PSU for the money.
Not to mention, EVGA have been making graphics cards for years so safe to say we can assume this is compatible with mid-high power consumption.
The reason why my old PSU failed is due to upgrading to my new GPU (ASUS R9 270) and I thought 500W wouldn't be enough to power up my PC after what happened, but when I came across this EVGA 500W PSU, I changed my mind especially after reading the review, so I went for it and I was lucky to receive it next day even after choosing free delivery which takes 3-5 days.
In general, this is a good quality product with a reasonable price which does the job!! it's so quite and has a 3 year warranty on it, and it's from a well known company which produces some really good quality stuff! what more could I ask for? lol
