EVGA 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra - simply the best value in a performance GPU
Amazed that Amazon was the seller & shipper with 6% discount @ time of purchase, then my Amazon Prime & CC 5% "credit" made this a great value for this graphics card.
The 3090 might have up to a 5% performance edge; but, boy do you pay a lot more (~50%) for that tiny bump in performance
No issues, plug & play, used HDMI cable. My Nvidia driver was already new enough to see this card in my X570 build.
The EVGA X1 software ver 1.2.6 which was already installed on this PC - recognized the new GPU & advised an update to the firmware.
The X1 firmware updated without issue. You just need to wait for it to complete. I highly recommend using a UPS power supply, you do not want any interruptions during the update.
Yes 30 series GPUs run warmer than previous designs ... that is the price of a more powerful GPU. So, you want excellent air flow ... & not a tiny case &your case fans need to be moving plenty of air
Room Temp 68F [20C] ..... GPU die Max 60C @ 2040 MHz with a small OC setting in EVGA X1 software. This is an Open bench test & has been running like this for Over 12 hours. Cards fans @ 90%
That is a Delta T of 40C (die temp Rise, over room temp) - the case, fans & room temp you use can impact your results
Using an EVGA 850 T2 PSU with No Issues on a x570S MB & 5950X AMD 16 core CPU
Not OC CPU or heavy loads on CPU -- pulls 600-650W, with the 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra under Full load
The only Con in the whole process .... Was the shipping from Amazon. Package was not shipped for 2 day delivery - Amazon choose to ship ground 5 days? no idea why with a Prime account.
The Bigger issue ... did someone try to open this box ? It was destroyed! Crushed! Torn Open in Spots!
I made the UPS driver wait while I inspected my package contents - Box was destroyed & partially re-taped in few spots .... What in the World happened to that box, was my first thought.
..... the outer shipping box was heavily damaged --> crushed & corners seams torn open in several places
... looks like someone might have tried to remove the contents ??
... The EVGA thin "retail box" (with the Pictures of GPU) only had minimal damage ... torn where it looks like someone tried to open? & 1 corner of the box had a Small dent.
..... The inner retail "heavy box" inside the retail package was not damaged at All ? This does not equate to the destroyed shipping box. I do not believe this damage was from the automated convener system UPS uses
... again almost like someone tried to open the shipping Box & retail package .... the EVGA factory seals were still intact. So, I took possession of the package from UPS & signed for this EVGA 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra

Amazing GPU but with some caveats
Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2021
Pros- Fast, very very fast out of box- Crushes everything I threw at it- Rivals my 3090 and even beats it in a benchmark or two- Looks really sexy, the RGB lightning is awesomeCons- Pulls a lot of power, need a great PSU to handle it, at least 850w- Runs warm- Loud fan profileSo I own a 3070 FTW3 and a 3090 XC3 Ultra and let me tell you that this 3080 Ti FTW3 is straight up insane! Out of box clock speeds are great and it looks very pretty in my case. This GPU pulls 400w from the wall with stock settings so it gets warm. During benchmarks I was seeing 84C temps in a very open case with really good airflow. Due to the temps, the fan profile would have to run at %75 speeds to keep it at bay and yes you can hear the fans. Any other review telling you it is quiet is just lying to you. The 3070 FTW3 I own is virtually the same cooler and fans and I don't see temps higher than 63C during benchmarks....granted it pulls 265ish watts compared to 400w. Buy this GPU if you want pretty card with RGB and want one of the fastest versions of the 3080 Ti series, but be aware you need a great cooling case and just be ok with hearing fans during heavy loads. This video card would be perfect paired with a watercooler and or an enthusiast who doesn't mind opening the card up and replacing the pads and thermal paste because the stock stuff seems a little weak. Otherwise, great video card and I would recommend but only at the retail price, don't pay higher scalper prices.EDIT: After two days of use the video card started to artifact and caused my screen to turn on and off repeatedly. This was at stock settings. Most likely a memory issue on this GPU. I expect better QC from EVGA.

So I hesitantly pulled the trigger on this card @ $1089.99 coming from a 1080 Ti. The 1080 Ti is still a beast of a card make no mistakes, but I couldn't pass this up at this price.
This card is large. I have my build in a Coolermaster HAF XB EVO and in order to fit this card, I had to move my fans to the outside of my case, leaving only the 240mm radiator inside.
Let me start off by saying, in this day and age, I'm not looking to game on the bleeding edge of graphics. My happy gaming spot is ultra graphics, 1080p @ 60hz (Fps) if I can game at these settings and not see a single dip in my frames, I'm a happy camper.
"But isn't this overkill for those settings?" Absolutely! I bought this card so that I could undervolt and underclock it. I have a custom curve set in MSI afterburner to limit my clock speek to 1710 mhz @ .775 volts and have capped my power limit 65% of max.
People say that these cards pull a lot of power and run hot, but at these settings, in brief stress tests I'm seeing 60c on the hotspots/mem with the power ceiling hitting the 65% @ 288w max pulled @.775volts
In everyday long gaming utilization I see it top out around 190w at these settings. Hot spots and mem temps maxing around 54c (I have two low flow 120s set up to blow directly on this card so the fans never even have to kick on)
My reason for purchasing this card and not a lower tier card for playing at these settings can be summed up by the following analogy:
I'd rather buy a Ferrari and cruise around in it at 70mph, knowing that if push comes to shove I can drive it at 140 every once in a while just for fun, than buy a Prius that I'm red-lining @80mph just to get where I'm going on time, worrying that any day it will crap out on me.

This is my first Ti card. I’ve had most all of the X80 and XX80 cards at one point or another. This card I was told was a very solid buy.
I’ve had it for 5 weeks or so now and it’s performed well above any expectations I had as to its potential. Most AAA games with ultra settings or even high settings make the fans run to keep the card cool. It is well worth the meager noise due to no game being unplayable below 60fps. Most are 80+ at 4K so lower resolutions will have little issues.
I’m pairing it with my 8700K so it’s not needing the 10-12th generation Intel chips I’ve seen others deem necessary.

It has Fantastic overclocking potential as long as you provide it with sufficient cooling, most likely have to water cool it to get the most out of it.. the stock air cooler is impressive enough wile utilizing a solid copper coated plate that contacts both the ram and processor. But despite the quality air cooler it inevitably runs hot due to the cards high power consumption. They can only go so far with a air cooler with a powerful card like this one. I managed to drop 7 degrees across the board by just replacing the thermal pasta and adding thermal pads to the back plate.. evga should of done that from the factory imo. It's fun to disassemble regardless so no big deal for me personally. If I keep this card long term I'll consider a custom water loop to let my entire system stretch it legs.. as for now everything runs like it's expected to run..

I'm very pleased with the EVGA RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming. It provides excellent video to my 32" Dell desktop monitor. It is silent and has very attractive RGB lighting. I've noted that because my full tower PC case has a very efficient cooling system. The fans on the RTX 3080 rarely turn on except when I first turn on the system. I highly recommend this Graphics Card.

The is GPU runs almost all the games I play at over 100 fps I’m 1440p. Can even run cyber punk with mostly maxed out graphics including ray tracing at a pretty consistent 80 fps. Is a bit of a noisy card but it is dealing with some heat. In a lian li 011D it sits around 80c while gaming and that’s with ten case fans, still doesnt throttle and holds consistent frames. A bonus is the companion app seems pretty good and actually controls the rgb well which is nice!

Great video card but expensive
Reviewed in Canada on July 20, 2021
This card, like all video cards these days, is very expensive. This is due to the resellers making exorbitant profits claiming high demand and low supply. Too bad one can't buy direct from the manufacturer.
However, having said that I'm grateful to have been able to purchase one of these great cards.
Like all videos cards these days, it's a simple plug-n-play device simply requiring the latest driver.
However, and this is a big however: Make sure your PSU is up the task! This card requires three (3) 6+2 pin cables. With the HDD and SSD drives I have on my computer I only have one open socket left on my EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G3, 80 Plus Gold 1000W fully modular PSU. When I "fly" Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 the fans spool up quickly then back down a bit as the temperature stabilizes at around 80 degrees Celcius. The "Performance" tab on Task Manager shows the levels on the 3D graph to be 99-100%. This tells me card is running at pretty much maximum performance drawing a lot of power. One review site I went to claims the power used for gaming is 434 watts with peaks of 531 watts.
This card is also physically huge so do yourself a favour for down the road and get a graphics card holder to prevent sagging and possible problems with the PCIe slot.
There's many, many review sites out there that will give you more information than I can give but what I can tell you is this: I'm glad I got this card and I have recommended this one to my friends.

Amazing card
Reviewed in Canada on March 29, 2022
This card is amazing if you're a hard-core gamer or a frame chaser. I replaced my old rtx 2080super with this beast and I've been impressed. Over 40% performance improvement however the card does get hot at stock settings and fans ramped up to 80% to keep the card at 80c while gaming, but with a little undervolt the card caps out at 70c while gaming for long period of times and stays at 45c at idle. I would reccomend this card for anyone who can afford it.

Beast of a graphics card
Reviewed in Canada on November 25, 2021
This is obviously a very very powerful card. Keep in mind that is big, and also very power hungry. This thing can draw 415 watts over three PCI-E 8-pin power connectors. The minimum power supply is about 750watt but a 850 watt PSU is a much more realistic option.
As for the price, in these times, the idea of a 1300-1500$ top GPU is long gone, so if you want that much graphical power, you’ll have to put your hand in your pocket…

Haven't heard back from the seller after complaining about this a few days ago most likely trying to wait until i can't return it anymore to get back to me. Paid 2k for a scam card that doesnt work and just looks pretty
