This is my first venture into the world of graphics cards and it has for certain been a learning experience.
I paid what I considered big money for this and fully expected my experience with it to be problem-free for years to come.
First, let me be clear that I am not a "gamer"; I bought this card purely due to the fact that some of my photo editing programs were overwhelming the integrated graphics.
To be fair, with this card installed, most of the programs that I was having problems with will now work fine.
However, several times each day, completely random and for no particular reason, my screen will go black for a few seconds and then come back on.
When the screen returns, a message appears stating that "nvidia etc., etc..... has failed and has now recovered"
Most times this has been only a worrisome annoyance; however, when it happens during involved editing of a photo, it causes the program to shut-down and all work/time is lost, causing me to have to start over.
Today, I had a photo opened in one of my programs and had spent about three hours meticulously making some reparations; then, just as I had the "save as" box up on the screen and about to click "save", in that split second, the screen went black for about five seconds; and, when it recovered, my program had crashed, losing everything I had done, and I had to start over.
I had already been in communication with nvidia via "support tickets"; then, after about the fifth ticket, when I click "submit ticket", I get an invidia screen that says it was unable to process my request.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers several times, tried different versions of drivers, jumped through hoops and burning rings of fire, and I am no better off than I was.
If I were paid one dollar per hour for the time I have invested in trying to get this situation resolved, I could have bought this card in the clear and money enough for two more.
Who knows, maybe invidia will do something that will fix this issue and I will come back with a flattering review ............ I sure hope so.
I dislike being disappointed in something that I had confidence in.
I wish I had read all of the one and two star reviews before making my purchase.
Update: I have now dropped my star rating from three to one and I wish I could give negative stars.

But this is not so. This may be a great card, but it's heatsink/fan overhangs the next expansion slot. For a typical micro ATX motherboard of the yesteryear that I have (PCI, PCI, PCI-E x1, PCI-E x16), this means loosing the only other PCI-E expansion slot. For me, that slot is already taken by a USB3 card. I need something slimmer, please.
I bought a DDR3 version of this card (also with fan), part number 02G-P3-2732-KR, and it fits in a single slot just fine.
I played with 02G-P3-2732-KR for about a year now (single slot 2GB DDR3 version). It can play Minecraft fine. It will struggle with more demanding games. But really, for performance metrics it is best to go to a benchmarking site, for example videocardbenchmark-dot-net. This card has a rating of 928 or so. This is better than a built-in video chip, even if you have a modern motherboard (for example, Intel HD 4000 is rated 451). Still, this is an entry level card by today's standard.
Fits into a single slot.
Does not take a lot of power to run (I measured about 10 Watts).
Can be configured full height or half height (low profile).
Has many outputs: VGA / DVI / HDMI.
Can work with older versions of Windows (Windows XP and later).
Can provide custom resolution (I have 16:10 monitor that I run at 1024x640 or 1152x720).
Supports DirectX 11.
Noticeable fan hum.
Let's give this card three stars out of five - one less for misleading specs and one less for fan noise.
Seems to run most mid level games on full FPS, without so much as making a peep.
It comes with brackets to put in a smaller form factor. Obviously I'm using a mid tower (Dell optiplex 9010) so there are no fitment issues. In the picture I've attached you can see the heat-sink hangs down a bit and almost blocks the bottom slot.
I paired this with the NoFan CR-80EH IcePipe Fanless CPU Cooler and have eliminated all but a whisper out of the computer. The loudest thing now is the hard drive. (and I have a SSD on order)
You can run duel monitors. Play a game in one screen, and photoshop in the other (like me) with no problems. I'm running 2 DELL U2212HM, at full resolution.
When I bench marked (full load) the card the temp of the GPU rose to 53c, Photoshop it sits right at 35c.
If you are looking for a solid mid-level video card that wont break the bank this might be it. Just don't expect Titian performance from a passively cooled GT 730
