My Nvidia 970 just came in. I'm taking 1 star for the loose packaging (next time add more of those air bags around the sides). As far as functionality goes the graphics card seems to be working well. I've installed it and played a few games. It arrived clean with a few minor scratches.

Very good graphics card! Can pretty much run any game at a smooth 1080p, 60fps. Can run most games at 1440p as well! Quiet card as well. Honestly no complaints!

I am quite disappointed. I ordered an EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 and received an EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0. Even though I got a better graphics card from what I ordered, now I can't do an SLI and will have to buy another graphics card to match having to go over my budget.

This was bought as an upgrade from a GTX770. Although that was still pretty decent, it's a joy to be able to run the latest games on (almost) max settings again. (Some games obviously future-proof themselves for future hardware, or cater for people with stupendous budgets and a 2 or 4 SLI GTX980 set-up or better).

No problems at all to install, and it's smaller size was what lead me to this, rather than another brand.

It's so quiet I've still to actually hear it over the other fans in the PC.

Solid performance, only thing I haven't been able to run on full settings is Watch_dogs, but that's due to shoddy porting to PC, nothing to do with the card. Super quiet, fans only come on when they need to, meaning that this is silent under non-gaming use as it manages to stick at around 48 degrees under low loads.

Highly recommended if you want blistering perfomance without the hefty pricetag of the 980.

fantastic 1080p card, it handles anything you throw at it at decent settings/ framerates. Quiet and cool. Some nice nVidia exlusive bonus features as PhysX or CUDA rendering.
one star down as many weakers cards now have 4 GB and 970 can efficiently use use only 3.5 GB, and 56 ROP unlike 64 that was initialy advertised/ card of this class should have to be more future-proof.

This card now as of writing this review outdated by its 1070 successor so the 1060 is another card to look at when buying this. For a 970 though it performs great with a very stable clock of 1380MHz when playing games without me doing anything. As for temps there fine never reaching above 80 degrees. As for the cooler though it is a little louder than I'd like and is defiantly the loudest component in my PC.

Fast and will play most games at 1080p ultra settings.

Coil wine is pretty bad and the card uses 3.4gb of memory to play gta5 on ultra 1080p so it doesn't bode well for futureproof-ness.

There is no other card that will touch the performance of this thing for the money though so I can't complain!
