The EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 hit the perfect spot for that upgrade you know you need, but at the price you want! With the latest NVIDIA Pascal architecture, the 2GB GTX 1050 displays stunning visuals and great performance at 1080p HD. Installing a EVGA GeForce GTX GTX 1050 card gives you the power to take on today's nextgen titles in full 1080p HD with room to spare. These cards give you a choice of memory sizes, cooling options, factory overclocks, and power options to fit every need and every system. Of course, no GTX card would be complete without essential gaming technologies, such as NVIDIA Game Stream, GSync, and GeForce Experience. If you've been waiting for that card that gives you the performance to take back the competitive edge, but without taking out your wallet, then the GTX 1050 is the card for you.

Games thease days require cards with more VRAM and the ability to run DX12
That's exactly what I needed.
The card is very quiet & will run the following games in HIGH&ULTRA settings,
provived you have 8-12Gigs of RAM
Skyrim & Skyrim special edition
Lords of the Fallen
The Long Dark
Styx:Master of Shadows
My rig has a mobo and CPU that are over 6 years old so with that I have a SOLID 35-45fps with GTA5 on ULTRA,
a newer build would run it with this card at 45-60fps EASY.
Hope this review helped. Good luck building that rig.
It worked so well on the family PC, I bought another and put one in my own older PC, and its worked fantastically there as well. I'm not a big gamer, so I haven't run bench tests or couldn't give you specs the way a gamer would, but for my satisfaction I the games all run perfectly and look great. So far we've run Unreal Tournament, Fortnight, Overwatch, Doom, Witcher3, and others... no issues.
Definitely recommended for someone who wants to dip their toe into PC gaming without breaking the bank.
I paired this card with:
MSI H110M Pro-VD motherboard
HyperX Fury Black 8GB DDR4-2133 (1 stick)
Kingston Digital 120GB SSD (very cheap and works well)
2TB WD Green HD
The size of this card is fantastic, and it should fit well in almost any case environment. I had no problem getting it in place, while my previously full-sized 560 Ti only had a single slot option where it would not hit the RAM. The single fan is extremely quiet and seems to keep everything as cool as needed. No temperature issues, and my case fans are much louder than the one in this card.
Everything worked perfectly with Windows 10. It was detected automatically, and quickly, and began working without any configuration or manual driver downloads necessary. I did get the GeForce Experience app and updated the drivers and in-game settings for the games I play through there - but this is not necessary to begin using it right away.

To give it a real test, I'm using a 1440p monitor.
Skyrim Special Edition on ultra setting runs very smoothly in the high 50s fps. GTA V, with everything dialed up except shadows and with vsync turned off hovers at about 30 fps. Looks beautiful, runs smoothly.
Considering that this card is not designed for 1440p and is also running with a fairly outdated CPU, I consider these results well impressive.
The fact it is just powered from the PCie x16 motherboard slot and is very compact seals the deal.
