Installed on a GTX 1080 FE. Prior to installation I had to deal with excessive core heat reducing boost clock to the low 1700's due to 82°C with the base fan profile or excessive noise with a custom aggressive and loud fan curve to keep boost clocks in the high 1700's with about 72°C, and boost was still declining over time!

Installation is not difficult but not easy. The instructions are somewhat vague in places, the grammar a bit odd and hard to follow, but the pictures and common sense compensate. Do not get in a hurry; Make sure you've the right tools and its fairly straightforward. I chose to transfer existing thermal pads from the original where new pads were not included. The radiator did not quite fit in my mini-ITX case without some minor case modding but should mount just fine in a larger case or an ITX that isn't as optimized for luggability.

Post installation core temps are holding steady in the mid-40°C's and the boost clock is stable over extended periods of time in the upper 1800's! I am extremely happy with this outcome and can recommend this to anyone with a GTX 1080 FE who wants lower temps and higher performance.

Replaced the stock cooler on my EVGA 1080 SC edition with this.

Pros: Under load temps dropped from mid 70s to low 40s (C). Very quiet.
Cons: Directions could be slightly unclear for someone who doesn't spend a lot of time working with hardware.
Misc: This is not a product to buy if you think it is going to improve your overclocking. Most of the time the 10 series with any non founder's edition cooler will max out on clock speed before thermal throttling even kicks in. This is going to magically get your card up to 2.5ghz or anything crazy.

I like this kit. However, please note that the lack of pulse-width modulation (PWM) for the radiator fan means the fan runs at full speed all the time. I don't like that when the PC is idle. The noise it makes just gets to me when it's not being drowned by another sound.

The quality of this kit and cooling you will get is excellent. Maybe it's a trade off?

My temps on a EVGA GTX1080 SC (08G-P4-6183-KR) went from 70*C on average with the ACX 3.0 stock cooler to 42*C on average during games and bench-marking.

I'm really happy with those temps.

I changed the radiator's fan to a NOCTUA NF-12 PPC-2000 PWM connected directly to the motherboard and software controlled by Argus Monitor, noise level is way down, temps have cooled down by 2*C

I have installed two on 1080-SC-ACX's, instructions were pretty straightforward but could have been much better directions on exactly what screws went where. And contrary to the instructions, the thermal pads (step 6) and black/white rubber washers (step 8) were already applied.

My temps are great, have settled on a 24/7 game stable OC @2130MHz and the hottest they get is 44c

Tl;dr at bottom

My story: In an attempt to liquid cool my Titan X Maxwell that fell outside the original EVGA offering ([...]) of a year ago that was much like the one listed here, I looked into a couple different options seeing as this one here is for the 1080/1070's.

My first was with the Corsair Hydro Series HG10 N980 Edition Bracket. The bracket was a second generation from Corsair, their previous one having been a fairly decent success. The N980 however was rife with problems from launch, information easily ascertained if you read any forums or google problems. Regardless, I gave it a shot. Attaching the card to the board was not too difficult, and even though this version of the bracket was already improved over the original release that had so many problems, it still bowed the card, much to my displeasure. It is clearly state to only tighen the screws that connect the board to the bracket until the head touches the board, more or less. I attached my H60 I bought to go along with this bracket, also leaving the stock thermal paste on the H60 instead of wiping off and using new. I installed the card in my case and the fan spun up to max speed instantly on the radiator and in a panic I power off the computer at the PSU switch. Taking the card out and removing the H60, I could see 1/3 of the die was never in contact with the cooling head. Looking online it turns out it takes large amounts of time to tweak and get the screws just right, both the screws from the board to the bracket, as well as the ones from the waterblock to the bracket.

What a difference!!!!
I have a GTX 1080 Founders Edition overclocked to 2050 Mhz and was having a lot of problems with the temperature reaching 87 degrees, but is the only way to have stable 60 fps with triple monitor setup in American Trucks. I installed this cooler and OMG, from 87 degrees went to a 60 max. I watched a video in YouTube just to have an idea and took me 30 minutes to install it, I used couple of the thermal pads from the original cooler and I replaced the fan and plugged to the motherboard to have a full noise control. It just need half of the speed of the fan to keep the GPU at 100% in the 60's.
