With all the various letters designations it's hard to know which is which with Evga power supplies. From what little I understand, the letter combinations & numbers actually indicate more which company built the power supply for Evga. Each variation also has different components and warranty, besides the normal wattage and Bronze/Gold/etc. efficiency designation.
In our computer building we like to stay with the Platinum level, occasionally going up to Titanium, or down to Gold for SFX units when necessary. This is an Mid-Upper level "G+" unit which puts your power supply above the norm but just below the Platinum level. At 850 watts good for general use. The only caveat I would mention is be careful of matching your GPU to the PSU, The new Nvidia 40xx cards will demanding more power for what we understand so 850 watts may not be enough. You may want to get a 1000 watt unit to be prepared for the future.
