The EVGA GS power supply lineup has arrived. These power supplies offer superior performance, at extremely low noise levels making these the perfect power supplies for a low noise environment. These power supplies also feature ECO mode meaning that the fan will run only when necessary, further reducing noise level and power consumption!

EDIT: Turns out the new power supply was NOT dead on arrival. Somehow, between getting the new power supply and testing a different power supply to diagnose the original problem, my motherboard power connector stopped working. I found this out after I had the same problem with the replacement, and I decided to just try a different cable.
I fully reccomend this PSU, and am still a big EVGA fan.
The 650 GS is noticeably shorter and less massive than its semi-modular cousin the 650 GQ. They both seem to work great, though.
Cons: Not much of a con, but the ATX cord is just barely long enough to make it around the back side of an SSI EEB motherboard when the PSU is at the bottom of the case. The CPU connectors were just a bit too short, and had to go over the top of the motherboard. This is mounted in a cooler master trooper case, though, and that thing is like a blimp hangar inside. I suspect it won't be a problem in a normal ATX case.
We previously used EVGA graphics products and were impressed enough with them that they are now all we use. We decided to try out their power supplies. EVGA has also now become our #1 supplier of PS for clients.
