It is a high performance system that does not forgive the level of the signal that it is provided.
So I bought an Evga Nu Audio Pro that I run an analog in 32bit 384Khz. I am delighted with the result! congratulations !
The sound is well balanced, the sound scene is vast and the dynamics are impressive.
IMHO, I think you have the best card on the consumer market. Thank you for this gift! it’s a blessing.
Continue like this EVGA! and take care of yourself.
Reason for only 4 out of 5 stars is the problems I had with the initial driver installation. I kept get several errors. After two clean install and uninstall of the drivers it worked, and has had no issues since
It worked for about 2 seconds. After around 3 days after contacting EVGA support, they told me to switch the SATA cable giving it power
I did. It worked for a good day. Before breaking AGAIN and now I'm pissed off about this crap product. Dont release a product for 200$ THAT DOESNT WORK.
I was really happy to get this card to upgrade from my Sound BlasterX AE-5 (I was really after the RCA line out). When I installed the card, I was met with stuttering and crackling during any sort of audio playback. Youtube, local MP3 files, games, streaming music, etc. After a couple days of troubleshooting, I happened to notice the audio stuttered most while I was browsing the web, so I disabled the onboard gigabit network controller in the UEFI. No more audio issues.
I was using an MSI X570 Gaming Plus motherboard, and it has the Realtek 8111H chip for networking. I installed an Intel i210 T1 PCIe card and had no further issues with the Nu Audio, so if you are having weird audio issues, it could be the LAN card / interface. Don't let a cheap motherboard ruin your experience.
*update* I have upgraded my motherboard to the Aorus Master X570 and even using onboard LAN, I am having no issues with my Nu Audio. Couldn't be happier with this card, the audio sounds great.
Top reviews from other countries
- Truly great audio definition and clarity
- Software is uncomplicated
- Simple to configure
- Massive frequency range
- Sounds amazing with Dolby Atmos, DTS.
Con’s:
- EVGA quality control poor (1x screw was threaded and fell out on my board). Not a deal breaker as does not affect card operation in any way for me.
Note:
Be aware that selecting high frequency rates (e.g. 32bit >96000Hz) can make some applications audio to stop working, like YouTube or Microsoft Film App, etc..
This is not a fault of this excellent audio device but limitations of those applications you are using. Simple to fix, just drop your frequency down to what they will accept and retry your application.
