I purchased both the Evo brand and the Parks brand to open and close the Sram power link. Others have opined that these pliers is good for home use but wouldn't stand up to more frequent professional use, and that's why I purchased the Park brand before receiving the Evo, which I decided would be sufficient for my bike's on board tool bag. I can't agree at all with that assessment. The seven dollar Evo appears to me to be made as sturdy and in the same manner as the Park, except the Evo has a strong spring whereas the Park requires manual manipulation. If I had it to do over, I would have purchased two pairs of EVO's. They are every bit as sturdy and effective as the Parks brand, and they one half the price. Oh, the EVO brand appears to be every bit as professional grade as the Park.

This tool made my life removing KMC and/or SRAM misslink / masterlink a lot easier. No need to squeeze the link n pitch. All you have to do is position it n squeeze the handle. Cant believe I waited so long to get one. This is a bargain compare to the one from Park Tools.

Well, I finally used this thing. It was for a new mountain bike chain that for some reason, the master-link would not come apart by hand, as I am used to. I had to use a chain breaker. The new replacement master-link did not come off by hand either, so I used this thing. It worked! But now I'm wondering why master-links no longer come off easy by hand. Well, at least on my road bike it still comes off by hand.

They seem a bit flimsy but they work well. I haven't actually used these much even though I have had them over two years. Riding more than 12,500 miles in that time I have had no issues in the three or four times I have changed my chain.

I bought these link pliers in anticipation of multiple rebuild projects as well as more aggressive maintenance routines on our bike fleet. I need functional tools, not decorative implements for a wall display. In a month they have earned their keep in the tool box.
Light, with well-formed jaws, they work effortlessly. I'm pleased with this purchase.

They do what they need to do well and cost much less than Park Tools. I wasn't going to buy one because I thought I could get by with needle nose pliers or my hands. Unfortunately sometimes it just won't happen and it's nice to have the right tool.

I keep up on my bicycle chains and this set of master link pliers does the job perfectly. Saves that anguish that always occurs when trying to remove a master link by hand. And cheap too. Good product for home bicycle use. I recommend.

It works great on my 10spd SRAM and KMCX10SL chains. I can't guarantee that it will work on 11spd chains but there seems to be enough space left with chains I mentioned.

I wish I had gotten this tool long ago.
