Top Customer Reviews
UNI - Caps over the main bearing are flat, cheap-feeling. Like something that would cover a bolt on your desk chair. Spins for days but the bearing definitely has some noise while spinning, and there is some rattling type noise from the counterweight bearings. In comparison to the EWR this spinner feels a little heavier which I like.
Spin time - This thing spun for 2m50s on the table. Super cool. I really didn't think a cheap spinner would hit almost 3 minutes.
Weight - I liked the heft of this spinner while fidgeting with it. I gave it 4 stars because the dang thing spins forever.
Case - If you're gonna use a case for something like this, then that along with the cleaning cloth is a nice enough touch I guess. I put it as a pro because it may be beneficial for some, but I would rather they put the extra expense and effort into the design.
Overall feel - I certainly wouldn't say this spinner has sharp edges, but there is a pronounced seam around the body from the mold. This could be something that wears off in time with more play, but for now it's not super comfortable. This was the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
Design - bearing caps are flat and not as comfortable.
EWR - Bearing caps are concave with a design, feel good in the hand which I think is important if you're looking for a fidget spinner over a table spinner - this is where you hold the thing. It's light in weight compared to the UNI, but not so much so that it feels overly cheap, especially not for an $18 device.
Feels great - very smooth edges and no noticeable seam from the mold. Comfortable to flick. This is what earns the EWR 4 stars.
Design - just a little added effort here with the caps, both in comfort and style, for whatever that's worth.
Quiet - I don't notice as much noise out of the main bearing or the counterweight bearings on the EWR when compared to the UNI.
Spin time - if you're looking for a table spinner at this price range, this isn't it. 1m1s from flick to stop on the table. However, this isn't a huge factor for me because I think this spinner is geared more toward the fidgeter than the table spinner. Given the fact that it's more comfortable to hold and fidget with, that is the selling point for me over the length of the spin.
Bottom line: These are not the high end spinners, but if you're retentive and into detail like me (if you're not I really don't know why you've read this far) hopefully this review helps. As they come out of the box, I give both spinners 4 stars for the reasons above, with the UNI being a better table spinner, and the EWR a better fidget spinner. Because I see myself doing more fidgeting, I think the EWR wins for me, but with just a few design tweaks I think the UNI with it's superior spin time and weightier feel would be the superior spinner.
Very well balanced Tri Spinner, spins for 2 minutes easily straight out of the package and the ball-bearings are fit snug enough not to slip out but not so snug they can't be removed and replaced.
It has worked for about a week now and continues to work however the metallic shields on the counter-weight ball-bearings are falling off. This allows for the outer ball-bearings to get very dirty, a quick fix and easy thing for EWR to do is to sell the spinner with extra center caps for all the ball-bearings or sell them separately. Also as a person with ADHD the main purchasing point of a fidget toy to me was entertaining myself quietly which this does not do, however when I am alone and playing wit it the sound as it whips around is pretty nice.
Really great customer service, sent me the center caps that I had been trying to find a way to get, I was even about to design and 3D print some...
The center bearing does slide out of the Fidget unit and the bearing can be replaced with a new bearing. We put a steel bearing in from an old skateboard. Doesn't spin as long but at least it spins :-). If you are looking at this fidget spinner - you may want to keep looking, We don't think it is worth the added cost.
I've had the product for several days and "breaking it in" has not improved performance.
