It works great, as I had expected, for objects that have a low ceiling. What I mean by this are the objects like sofas, couches, entertainment centers, etc. that have a low clearance from the floor. It is of course basic mechanics that helps lift such heavy objects with ease. For objects with a little higher ceiling, you will need a portable surface that can be placed underneath them to get the leverage. An example of such an use case would be lifting a side of a bed.
It helped me lift the sofas on our hardwood floor easily so that I could place the gripping surfaces underneath their legs to prevent them from sliding when someone tried to get up from a sitting posture.
