5.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly easy to install, and works perfectly
By Andrew Maner on February 4, 2019
Very easy to install, and works like a charm. Steps to install:
* Unscrew the black plate
* Choose the appropriate side for your ssd (indicated in instructions - one side for pcie, other for sata)
* Move the post to suit your particular ssd's form factor (2280 is the longest this will hold)
* Insert your ssd
* Secure it with a tiny screw
* Attach a thermal pad to the plate, on the appropriate side
* Remove plastic from pad
* Reattach plate
* Insert the card into your chosen pcie slot (choose the fastest available)
* Screw in the set screw (provided)
* Boot!
... the next bit assumes your new drive is empty ...
* Once you're in Windows (assuming Win10), open Disk Manager
* It will ask you to initialize the disk. Choose MBR if you're going to clone the drive (to boot from it), or GPT if you're going to use it as a storage drive
* If you chose GPT before, right-click on the "unallocated" bit, and choose "simple volume" and "next." Set the size (default is maximum), and choose "next." You can choose a drive letter, then click "next." Make sure "ntfs" is chosen next, click "next," and then "finish." You now have a new storage drive.
* If you chose MBR before, download Macrium Reflect Free, and just watch this awesome video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0PyZIqecII

Pros:
As I stated above, the install and setup are incredibly easy. The card is very small, so it doesn't take up much space in your case. Finally, the LEDs on the card are quite cool, and you can cycle between several different color settings by simply clicking the button on the external part of the card. If you have a suitable motherboard, you can connect your card to an RGB header and control the light show with your choice of software (like ASUS Aura). The card just popped into place, with no difficulties whatsoever.

Cons:
The included cable for connecting to the motherboard's RGB header is too short for most mobo's. You'll likely need some sort of extension.

All in all, excellent product.
