Padded laptop compartment is wide enough but not deep enough for my 17" laptop. Oddly, there is a non-padded compartment on top of the padded one that will fit the laptop, but would provide little protection.
After two round-trips, the suitcase survived with no visible damage; it looks like new.
Its capacity is perhaps a bit less than other 22" carry-ons, but this didn't stop me from ordering the 30" model, (which has not yet arrived,) for an upcoming vacation.

There was absolutely no customer service. the stitching on the left side snap is about to fall off. Would have had no complaints because I like the bag. But this item was too expensive to be shipped out damaged. I am currently deployed and will have to pay someone to fix it. It would simply be too much trouble to return.
