I had a lot of trouble visualizing the actual size of the Pack-It cubes using just the promo pictures and dimensions, so after trying out several sizes, I've included photos to try to provide some perspective. Here you see 5 men's fitted size-"L" rolled tees. There's enough slack in the material to allow a layer of the same items on top. I've also pictured the cube (w/ same items) in a 22" carry-on sized roller suitcase.
The Pack-It is a clever design that both provides structure and flexibility. The result is you can overfill the PackIt (in my pic, you could easily add another layer of items), and unless you have a solid item taking up the whole width of the bottom, there's enough extra material so the cube flexes to hold it all. The mesh makes it possible to compress the contents (as well as see what's in there). And the handle makes it easy to grab and carry the filled cube, which would otherwise feel sort of awkward (since it's soft-sided and flops over).
Note that the regular cube is included in the Eagle Creek sets, so the set might be a better value if you're going to buy multiple sizes. This cube is a useful size for all sorts of travelers. Recommended.
Now the important question....What exactly can I fit in a Full cube? Before I answer, let me put out there that I'm a tall woman, 5'9", with long legs (36in inseam). In one, cube (Full Cube) I was able to fit 2 pair of skinny jeans, 1 pair of yoga pants, 3 shorts. As far as shirts go, I fit 12 tops (tanks and tees) and a long maxi dress.
They are very lightweight with a zipper that seems almost "liquid" in it's use. That's important to me as I have terrible zipper karma. They can be packed with more items than they would seem to be able to hold, and keep everything in them folded and neat. Use the large ones for shirts and the medium size one for underwear. There's even a smaller one for electronics or socks.
The beauty of these items is that unpacking and repacking is a cinch, and all of your clothes get there unwrinkled and fresh looking. If you travel a lot, these packs are really indispensable for organization of your suitcase/duffle/backpack. I can't recommend them enough.
I purchased six new ones (black) for my husband because I accidentally got rid of his old ones. They are the same size as the old ones, but they are slightly different in the way they are made. I like the old ones better; the mesh is nicer. I also don't think the new ones have YKK zippers, although I really can't tell the difference.
We don't use the smaller cubes at all. I guess they would be useful for accessories, but that's about it. I recommend getting the full size packing cube (several, actually) and stacking them uniformly in your suitcase. For long trips, I typically use four cubes and my husband uses six cubes. When he travels by himself (often for months at a time), he comes home as organized as when he left. That speaks volumes about these packing cubes!

I could see this as being very useful for packing when travelling to keep everything from shifting around in a larger bag.
